like yeah, sure? but the real problem in both of these situations is the lost potential and failure to follow through on narrative and character set ups
I have to either keep her shut in the living room at night because she eats random shit in my bedroom (hair, hair ties, rips up thread from carpets and eats that so I only find out when its on its way back out) or keep her shut in a crate in my room because shes just been spayed and will not stop climbing the curtains.
if i keep her shut in the living room she'll scream through the door in the morning and claw at it relentlessly, ive tried ignoring her until she stops to open it but tjays just made her go quiet once she hears im getting out of bed.
Ive had to take pretty much everything out of the living room because she chews on it, shes munched through one of the sleeves of my vinyl records and keeps chewing through my pc wifi antanae, so now my living room consist of a sofa, a cat tree, a cat tunnel, one of them cat toys that they can push a ball around a track but not get it out, and a litter tray.
I also taught her to jump on my shoulder so when I take her for walks I can use that when necessary but now she just climbs me nonstop. And when I try to shut her in one from to stop her from trying to kill herself in another (it took her less than 3 seconds to try and eat a clump of hair when I let her out of the crate yesterday) she'll just weave and barge through the doors so i cant carry anything between rooms because I have to micromanage her.
So my days already starts with her pissing me off, and at the point I got her I can barely remember other than being stressed that she has so much energy that she genuinely wouldnt let me go to bed. I feel scared at the thought og having her another potentially 20 years. And I feel guilty that I even feel like that.
I also think I resent her a little bit financially as I have to pay insurance, a vet monthly fee, and all the other basics for her (food, litter, replacement for the things she breaks) and ive just had to put my own food on a pay later scheme, i really need to learn to drive and the money couldve gone on that
I really dont know what to do because shes definitely not making me happy, but because im agoraphobic and dont know anyone I would feel so much more isolated without her.
and I just keep crying because I miss my last cat and I can still remember the day I got her nearly a decade ago, but this cat? I remember the first day and then suddenly she's much bigger but I dont have many fond kitten memories with her
I just kinda wish I got an older cat, but they can be tricky to keep indoors if theyre not used to it.

man I really miss the squid game fandom before season 3β¦ everything was so fun and the fandom had so many people. after s3 everyone all just kinda left. obviously I can understand people giving up on a fandom after thereβs no more new content being released but squid game just felt different. thereβs PLENTY of fandoms for shows, movies, books, etc that are sometimes 10+ years old or arenβt getting any new content anytime soon that still have active fandoms. why wasnβt squid game the same?
ill be so honest we know exactly why. season 3 was so god awful that I think everyone, after being so hyped about it only to be let down, was so disappointed they practically didnβt care about the fandom anymore. if the show didnβt have a good ending, what else was there to care about?
kinda insane to me. especially as someone whoβs been in fandoms that are years oldβones that arenβt getting new content anytime soon (cough cough RENT) and likeβ¦ ive never seen a fandom die as fast as squid game. insane
Thereβs also the fact that the third season left no room for anything else. Netflix released it andβ¦ what? There was nothing else. There was nothing to do. There were no posts, no promotional contentβthey didnβt keep the fandom engaged; they let it die out. Season 2 held on for a long time too, thanks to the buzz after the release, but Netflix treated Season 3 not as an ending, when it was a sudden barrier to everything the fandom longed for, wanted, and loved. It doesnβt even seem like they were filmed togetherβtheyβre so different. What many people loved in Season 2 was THROWN IN THE TRASH in Season 3 without explanation. Many, many questions

mentally pretending that if one of them dies in the sequel the other comes back here to come full circle of their story
i feel like my body/brain has only just clicked it's christmas tomorrow, ive already cried three times today. I can see how I latched onto squid game so tightly last year because of it but now there's literally nothing to distract me from everything so I'm just cycling through games not being able to focus, then doom scrolling instead, Ive not even got any food here bc I didn't realise until they stopped doing delivery slots

ive had this kitten for over a month now and im still struggling on a name
I just suddenly thought of noddy (bc ive heard of so many tigger cats, my friend has a piglet, and the people who found Lily have a cat called pumbaa, so I want to stay away from disney names)
but then I realised noddy would have suited lily more bc she use to do the up nod when either she wanted something, or if she was simply acknowleging you
so perhaps not noddy, then big ears came into my head but lilys ears were waaay to big for her head and I used to make fun of her for it
so how am I still coming up with easy names for lily, but i cannot settle on one for kitten

I think that media literacy step one for any video is "why is a camera pointed at this?" If there's no obvious reason for a camera to be pointing that way all the time, someone filmed the video on purpose. We aren't a fly on the wall, we're a deliberate audience.
