Suspicious Wench

N called to ask me how my new job was going. In my explanation, I said, "I just think that men are better at such-and-such job." Of course I'm not saying that there aren't women out there who could, even possibly DO, kick ass in the role I was referring to, but in my experience I've always enjoyed working with a man in that particular role. His response was that he was surprised to hear me say that a man would be better at something than a woman. 😶 😑 🤔 Don't I say that shit every day? There are things I just fucking suck at because I do and he is better at because different people bring different things to the table. And vice versa. But there are some things that I think he is just better at because he is the man. I can drive a car quite capably, but I want him to do it when the option is there. Big cities, tight parking spaces and slow GPS's send me into orbit- not in a good way. Watching him reverse (!) into a stinky tiny spot in one try can send me into a different kind of orbit- a very good one. I can open a jar (maybe with a hammer) but I get girly shivers when he does it effortlessly without breaking out actual tools. Yes, there are things I can get done and sometimes I have to, but I don't want to. I want him to do it because he's the man and that's just how I think it should be.
