If you used the internet in 2013, you read lists. This is an indisputable fact. You may love them, you may hate them, but you have almost certainly, at some point in your life, read and argued over one. The month of December is like the Super Bowl for internet listmakers and  it’s not uncommon for music fans to become afflicted with a serious case of list fatigue by early January. That’s why for our first ever set of year end lists, we decided to have some fun with it.

Rather than churning out another arbitrary ranking of artists, songs and albums, we decided to go left and compile lists of shit we actually care about like Big Body Bes tweets, Jadakiss verses and Alchemist beats. We also paid homage to some of the music and visuals that we loved and the rising artists that we hope to hear more from, but we kept it informal and unranked. Drawing inspiration from ESPN’s fantastic 30 for 30 documentary series, we connected with the homie Ev Boogie from the expertly curated UpNorthTrips and put together 13 lists of 13 that we hope reflect what we try to do here at NahRight every day.
