hi from my episode 3 read. ever since i saw the episode 3 stage play i have experienced shrimp emotions about kuwadorian beatrice annnnd when i got to her in the visual novel it happened again.
and now i don't remember if this line specifically was in the play or not, but either way, reading it here felt like a ton of bricks to the diaphragm.
and i realized that it actually makes me sick that the only way we refer to her is both with "kuwadorian" <- her literal jail and "beatrice" <- her metaphorical jail. especially when she...so clearly doesn't want to be there or be her.
i'm sure i'm nowhere near the first person to do this, but i wanted to help her find a new name. (japanese naming conventions puts family name first, given name second, so that's how i'll be notating it!)
i did a weekend's worth of research poking around at names and kanji meanings and so, i would like to (re)introduce you to kyoumi mayuko (匡美 真由子) !
kyoumi | 匡美
匡: "to aid, to rectify, to rescue."
美: "beautiful, beauty."
mayuko | 真由子
真: "true, truth, pure."
由: "cause, origin, freedom."
子: suffix used in women’s names
her friends--because in my heart she'll have more friends than just rosa, someday, can call her mayu or mayuchan for short <3
also her sprite! has the pipe!! and the 07wiki just uses chick beato's sprite for her but like !!
look at my girl!! she smokes!! apparently!!!
