Way higher than I expected given that like half of the named characters are space marines. I really want to see a detailed breakdown though.

This isn't a detailed breakdown but:

- OC x OC is the word of the day. As far as I can tell like half of all of it is OC x OC. Which makes pretty much perfect sense.

- Thanks to the rogue trader CRPG, OC x Canon is thriving. The most popular companion to ship the rogue trader with is Yrliet, and it's not even close. There are like twice as many fics with her as with any other companion.

- There's also a sizable amount of OC x Canon coming in from darktide

- The most popular canon x canon pairing is of course celefax, but it's not anywhere close to holding up the yuri side of the fandom like some people have said, at least not any more than yrliet x rogue trader is.

- Surprised there isn't more Lelith Hesperax since she's also pretty prominently gay and I'd assume scary elf women with knives would be a turn on for more people

- Genderswapped versions of the most popular male ships do show up but the ratios are different. When you look for M/M the most popular one is Fulgrim/Ferrus but the most popular genderswapped one is Dorn/Perturabo.

- Dazzling array of rarepairs, as expected

- Honestly just in general the 40k yuri writers really understand the assignment.
