Not meant to be hate, but I find your page interesting. Do you ever feel afraid of the law or something when you admit you're a map, or do you not care because the law is ineffective against this kind of online activity? Do you ever feel like an Icarus? Have you admitted your sexuality to anyone irl, and if so, how did they react? Again, I don't mean to be mean, but I found your page a few days ago, and it's very interesting and unusual compared to everything else I've ever seen.
i appreciate your genuine interest, not a lot of folks approach me to ask about things like this
i've not broken the law, and while i recognize that, for high-profile maps, that doesn't stop us from being framed for it, i'm not going to be intimidated by the government out of expressing any part of my identity. the same threat used to exist (and in many ways still does) for gay and transgender folks, but we've made progress towards acceptance in the past few decades only because of folks who were unafraid to express themselves
i have a supportive and loving partner irl who is also a paraphile (i was very nervous to come out, but it turned out well) as well as friends who are maps and paras irl. but, i haven't come out to anyone else. i'm very cautious about trying to maintain the communities i've formed and without a backup plan, i'd rather not risk it at this point. one day, i'd love to be more open about it. i do discuss paraphilias with others when it comes up and try to educate the difference between attraction and action whenever i'm able. folks are generally receptive to this
