Any thoughts? ”

He placed the blade under his belt after her response, there’d probably be some use for it later. “ I wouldn't want to bore you. But I also wouldn’t want to underestimate a black sister. No offence of course, and I know you and, say Bellatrix, aren't the same person, but I wouldn't put it past you. ”

Taking a few more seconds to analyse the blade, Lorcan decided to just give it back to her. He had nothing against the slytherin, as they’d not spoken before, and her concern seemed genuine enough. “ It was just here on the ground,” he gestured to the space between them, before placing the handle of the knife in her palm, slowly. “ So... is this for protection, some ritual, violence, kinky shit, or a mix of those? ” He noted her surprise at seeing it, and his curiosity grew.

Lorcan gave a slight laugh, trying to ease the tension as he explained, “ That’s what I was saying. The only want on my mind right now is too shallow to waste magical wishes on. ”
He shrugged, because he didn’t know who Remus had asked or what they’d said. “ Only if they give it thought. Most people who answer straight away want only what’s best for them. Not that that’s inherently evil or anything, but it’s definitely selfish. Selfish. Yeah, maybe that was the better word to use. ”

It’s too bright.”
“Okay. You’ve got three wishes. But you can’t wish for more wishes or more genies. What do you wish for?”
Lorcan shrugged the question off, bluntly, “ Everything I want currently is probably either too shallow or too inappropriate to waste a genie’s wish on. ” He gestured around, at no one in particular, continuing, “ in my opinion, not enough people respond to this hypothetical situation with ‘I’ll save it for a rainy day, actually’. They’re mostly just greedy. ”
“— I don’t think.. It’s not supposed to taste like that. Definitely not, are you sure you did it right?”
“ I’m sure, alright. ”
