It's nice to go window shopping in the Mirrorlight Promenade, but sometimes you can't resist spending that hard-earned treasure (and/or gems). The little hatchling scampers away at the sound of your approach, hiding behind a nearby rock. Seconds pass and she peeks around the obstacle, big blue eyes studying you intently. "Boo," she says, then giggles and disappears behind the rock again.Ā

"Thud, thud, thud goes the yeti," the little spiral hatchling says, wings fluttering as he tells his story to the other hatchlings. "I'm coming to get you, it says." He punctuates his words with a dive, crashing into the nest with a loud thud. The other hatchlings scatter, some laughing and some scoffing.
The little spiral ignores his fumble and dives again, finally catching someone. "And then he eats you all up! 'Crunch, crunch, crunch.'"

The little spiral girl curls up beneath an overhang to avoid the sun and hopefully all of the other hatchlings, loud in their play. "I just wanna nap," she says though a yawn, twisting round and round. "Go 'way and let me sleep. I'll play with you later." Already bigger than his litter mates, the Imp stretches and preens, showing off his glittering hide in the dazzling sun. "Look at this," he says, pushing a scale toward you. "Isn't it beautiful?" He snatches it back after a minute, studying it. The scale catches the light, shimmering in his paws. He looks to you, back to the scale, and then back to you.
"Fine. You can have it. I've got more like that, after all." He shoves the scale toward you, then takes off, wandering to the drinking pool to admire his reflection.
