random fun facts abt eclipse bc im bored and tired and dont think ive shared them:

his code being split apart while still awake in SSU ch10 was the catalyst for him "awakening" as a true AI, even though he doesn't remember it due to the log file being misplaced and then destroyed to protect Moon

that's also the only reason he's not cold-hearted and vicious, as well as the reason he was unaware of his programming and purpose until SSU ch28-29

I've actually written him as slowly reverting to said initial personality as he gets used to being alive and feeling emotions, and it's gonna become more of a genuine problem (like when he killed paul)

the only people he's truly loyal to are sun and moon. anyone else is permanently considered a potential threat regardless of what they do or say

that said, he also has a bad habit of thinking he's in the right no matter what because of his programming, which will also become more of a problem soon

which is because despite being a military-grade program, he's genuinely not that smart! he's quick on his feet and great at reading people in combat, but beyond that he's utterly useless. it leads him to suspect everyone of everything just because he doesn't understand that people are inherently flawed, and because he thinks he's always right, it's hard to change his mind once it's set.
