OVERLY INDULGENT!!

This is a side blog purely for my enormously self-indulgent TF fan continuity that treats canon like a suggestion, with concepts created purely by whatever I find coolest or funniest!! It will feature plenty of smaller plotlines at the beginning that all converge on each other.

I’m a very impatient person, so all these posts will be edited later to include art!

Megatron and Starscream are also constantly trying to kill each other looney tunes style in the background for the right to be the real Decepticon leader.

Blitzwing is set to undergo two procedures: one to get rid of his ‘extra and unnecessary’ alt-mode, and a modified personality procedure.

After the failure that was Senator Shockwave, they figured that ripping out parts of the processor entirely was too unmanageable. Simple reprogramming would have to do.

However, this procedure would similarly end in failure, as Blitzwing would fight his way out before the procedure to take his alt modes would even begin.

They make it just in time for the anniversary of the Quintesson Purge, where a celebration is starting up in the Capital.

Obviously, the Decepticons attack. Zeta Prime’s Guard reluctantly push them back. Optimus Prime and friends have snuck in through the back of the stage.

Prowl is spotted and caught in the crossfire, and Zeta Prime goes straight for him, sword ready to rip him to pieces.

Bluestreak, recognising Prowl and terrified out of his mind, makes a choice.

Here are a few facts: Bluestreak personally oversaw the procedure that modified Perceptor’s scope into a rifle. Bluestreak and Perceptor have extensively tested its capabilities in joint projects. Bluestreak is the better shot when it comes to distance.

Bluestreak aims. He fires.

Zeta Prime buckles mid-swing. Then falls.

He was forged in the beginning of Quintesson Purge and forced into the thick of battle as a medic, surrounded by dying mechs begging for help.

While he saved all he could, by the time of the Purge’s end, he was hollowed out by all he had experienced.

Forged without a home to return to. Doomed to be Ratchet of Nowhere.

Even with all his medals and titles, Ratchet was left with the unbearable urge to meaningfully help others. The free clinic in Dead End not only meant to assist those in need, but to give himself a purpose.

There is solidarity in the gladiator pits, pity for the newcomers, respect for the elderly, but always an underlying distrust.

He keeps most of his acquaintances at arm’s length, like fellow gladiator Arcee. Orion Pax is an exception that he doesn’t know he’ll regret in the future.

Starscream is an insufferable, unbearably competent co-conspirator who Megatron knows is only in it for his own gain.

They allow him to test his projects in their demolition sites so he doesn’t get in trouble for dodging his real job of scrap hauling. It’s a good deal.

One day, when getting ready to blow up/test a project on an abandoned railroad crossing, Wheeljack is unceremoniously hit by Astrotrain, a Decepticon transporting supplies to the main outpost.

Scavenger and Bonecrusher arrive and panic, knowing Hook can’t fix such extensive damage and also knowing that Hook has too much pride to admit it.

They bring Wheeljack to the rumoured free clinic in Dead End.

Shockwave is a lone serial killer, a former scientist determined to undo the experimentation done on him.

His goal is to isolate the areas in the Cybertronian processor responsible for emotions and empathy, then implant them into himself.

Ironhide’s vacation to visit his conjunx Chromia who is stationed on a colony planet has been canceled due to the new laws being passed about restricted travel from Cybertron.

Additionally, rumours of this Decepticon uprising have been increasing lately and Zeta Prime is paranoid, so they’ve all been working overtime, especially Hound.

Ironhide complains about this within earshot of Brainstorm (official job: upkeep of the Prime’s paint and details, self-proclaimed quantum physics genius) whose visit to meet his science pen-pal Perceptor for the first time had also been canceled.

Their collective bitching reveals much more discontent amongst the Prime’s guard than they had previously thought.

So when Hound catches scent of a spy sneaking around Zeta Prime’s palace, he doesn’t mention it for the first time in his career.

While Functionism isn’t as prevalent in this continuity because the Quintesson Purge meant that everyone had to help with jobs outside of their alt mode function, medics are one exception.

If bots have the ‘right’ coding when they online, they’re shuffled into a medical course and they legally cannot drop out.

First Aid is having a wonderful time despite the stress. Knockout thinks these long shifts don’t leave him enough time to shine himself.

Vortex — whose alt mode will eventually be an emergency service helicopter — is very close to messing up surgeries on purpose to see if he can get kicked out because he hates the place. The only thing stopping him is his gestalt.

—and Blaster’s self-hosted radio show to subtly dismantle the propaganda being fed to the citizens.

Sentinel, the unhappy heir of Zeta Prime, discovers their work with the help of disillusioned nobility Mirage.

Their demands are simple: find a suitable mech to be Prime and replace Zeta Prime before the anniversary of the Quintesson Purge, or they’ll report them to the Senate.

It appears an impossible task, as the anniversary is mere solar cycles away. However, Red Alert’s network spans all across Cybertron.

Under Jazz’ watch, the newly dubbed Optimus Prime sits hidden in the back of Ratchet’s clinic, wringing his servos as his life turns upside down.

They accidentally reveal this to Jazz while scouting Iacon, who assumes they are all spies working for the same cause. Prowl and Ultra Magnus assume that Jazz is also an investigative journalist undercover.

They are all wrong.
