it seemed to be one beautiful spring day in radiant garden; in where it seemed like a perfect day to roam in the garden area of the town and just to glance at the growing flowers that bloomed there. of course, smell them too, right ? the most perfect person and whom she had deemed closest to her was leon. he didn’t seem to be busy . . unlike most days. with extending a hand, she had grabbed for his; clearly now dragging him along with her. it wasn’t too long until they had arrived and now was faced with plenty of flowers that surrounded around the both of them. she took this chance to step forward and smelled the scent one of the flowers in her view. such a lovely scent, one would believe.

Leon affectionately took hold of Aeris’s hand and kept up with her brisk energetic walking pace as best he could as they worked through a colorful cornucopia of fragrant blossoms.  Finally, when asked the question, he too leaned towards a few of the many roses and chrysanthemums and inhaled deeply.

taking her eyes off his for the moment, aeris had sensed it was awfully quiet for the time being. that is quite unusual but she knew too well, it wouldn’t be too long until the peacefulness will be gone and many people would be out and about.  ❛ i wouldn’t mind dinner if i must say. ❜

“Excellent,” Leon celebrated Aeris’s consent to a dinner date.  He once again offered to hold hands and slowly walk along the scenic garden area leading to a recently finished dining section of town.  He shared, “It’s been great having the new development so close to my music studio.  There’s cuisines from France, China, Italy, Japan, Scandinavia, Louisiana, and the Caribbean islands al serving up some amazing dishes.”

Leon saw himself in a town square before a long bridge leading to an impressive Norse-style castle.  He noticed many Floating-Mage Heartless and several more large, fire-breathing bandit Heartless.  He reacted, “Damn; it’s started!” as he drew out his gunblade and started jump-slashing at the little red flying fire-cannons.  Landing from having dispatched 2 of them, he grunted in pain, “Aaaff!” as a heavy bodied bandit blew a flaming boulder at his head.  The stoic warrior fell on his side onto the concrete walkway.  Re-gripping his gunblade, he hopped back up just in time to swat away another red hot rock.

While she normally kept her music as soft as possible when she was around other people, her head lightly bopping along to the beat as she busied her hands with something else, the shift into another track that gave her the urge to dance was no longer something she could ignore. Plus, she wasn't completely alone, so...

She increased the volume, popped up from her chair, and turned her attention to the first person she wanted to try to include in her happy mood: Leon. No matter if he was in the middle of something, Selphie was willing to be persistent while she had the drive to try to pull him into her excitement, even if only for a few minutes.

Though focused on the song, Leon’s sharp hearing noticed Selphie’s steps in his direction.  He looked up to listen to her question, then consented, “Yes I’ll dance with you Selphie.” and extended his hand to her.

@cxllmeleon​ has requested for a flower.  Leon presented Aeris with a small box about 8 cubic inches in size wrapped in a gold-colored paper bearing a tiny red bow. “Happy birthday Aeris!” he greeted.

"When have you known me to forget something important?” Leon asked.  Indeed, his steady memory and heavy sense of duty meant he was always prepared and sometimes overly detail-cautious.  Awaiting her eyes within the little package was jewelry box housing a red heart shaped crystal wrapped in a network of gold shapes clearly resembling a Heart Container.  The piece was affixed by a long gold chain featuring an adjustable clasp.

Much like Aeris, Leon also lived in a small apartment unit.  It had what he needed to sleep, cook, and stay engaged, but what he loved best about it what that it was right next door to Lionheart Studios, the music school and recording lab he set up after the recent Heartless war.  He spent a considerable portion of the preceding day rehearsing for a concert set to take place at the Radiant Garden Amphitheater later that week, and having lost track of time jamming he barely realized how late it was when he returned home. Leon, now having shed his famous fake-fur lined coat for softer sleeping clothes, opened a small storage drawer and reached for a stone bearing a music note rune, knowing it contained Siren, the Guardian Force of sound.  His hope was that communing with her would help him stay inspired for the concert to come.  As he took hold of the orb, his fingers slightly touched some of the neighboring Guardian Forces’ geodes, which suddenly caused him to cough and stumble back into his bed.

What Leon didn’t know was that someone had snuck a Dark Aeon’s geode into his Guardian Forces earlier that day.  Weird black smoke formed around his head as he coughed and cringed.  He kept a grip on Siren’s orb while pushing himself to feet briefly and slamming a hand on his phone.  Holding the voice command button, he managed with a hack, “Call Aeris!”

❛ surprised to see me, aren’t you ? ❜ even times like these, she was still able to crack a small joke and with her hand grabbing a hold of his, she had slowly helped him off the ground. it was nice to see siren was okay throughout all this mess and shiva was certainly here to help matters. ❛  yes, that would be the task here. after all, ice has the upper hand here when getting rid of fire. ❜

hearing tiamat’s voice of that summon, aeris only listened and stood her ground, putting her hand into a fist. determination was surely found on her face, knowing this didn’t put fear into her. she needed to be strong. ❛  is that suppose to scare us or something ? we’ll be the one’s who put you in your place.  ❜  the brunette had turned her head, giving a nod to the ice summon; shiva to work her magic. floating in the air, she had blown a icy wind to the flame head of tiamat before shiva snapping her fingers to perform her signature attack of diamond dust, hoping to cause a significant damage to it.

Leon’s eyes widened and his heart started to feel refreshed upon noticing the touch of Aeris’s hand.  He quickly processed that she got his call and had arrived to lend aid.  He climbed up with her help gave her a nod of respect, then turned his attention back to the Dark Aeon, ready to handle its next threat.

“Glad you’re here; now we have a chance!” Leon hoped, having been overwhelmed before her arrival with Shiva.  Noticing Shiva charging up, Leon slowly moved towards one of the other heads, and on seeing it hack up an acid ball and fire it towards Shiva, he intercepted the projectile with his gunblade, swatting it to the side.  The Diamond Dust froze the fire-breathing head, which slumped to the ground of the spirit realm.

it was new year’s eve in radiant garden, as she spent most of the day with leon. many of the townspeople were out partying or with their friends, or loved ones. there was no better person she could spend this with. just enough, to see a new year happen before their very eyes. with leon, it will end the year on a positive note and bring positive vibes in the air. it wasn’t too long until she had felt his lips pressed against hers for a soft kiss. it had only lingered for a moment before pulling away. a faint blush was present on her face and most of all, a genuine smile.

As the sound of the horn blared to indicate the turn of the year, Leon boldly kissed Aeris’s sweet lips.  The romantic act filled his entire being with a tingly warmth, reminding him of how fond he was of the remarkable woman in his arms.  The bond with her truly made for a night to celebrate.

❛ and i love you too, silly. ❜ for a moment of time, she was a bit too concerned and thought something might of worried leon. looks like she misjudged and was wrong this time around. sometimes, she can be somewhat an worry wart or try not let it show when others were around or not. but, she was happy enough all is well, which another smile only took hold upon her soft lips.

The intensifying beats of both of their hearts drove Leon’s affections ever higher.  While he spent years of his life hiding it, secretly he loved romance, and hearing the love of a kind beauty like Aeris just filled him with hope and motivation.

❛  r-really ? you mean that leon ? that’s so sweet of you to say. ❜ a bright smile came to her lips and was happy to hear such words from him. leaping forward, she had wrapped her arms around him and hugged him softly. honestly, it made the holiday so much better if you have someone special in your life to spend it with. that’s what aeris had right now and something she never wanted to lose in her life. after christmas was over, who knows what they would do for new years but it be something special that they would remember.

Leon felt a warmth fill him upon receiving Aeris's gentle but significant hug.  He rested his hands on her back and and hugged her into his chest lovingly while nuzzling her cheek and briefly touching her long hair.

that and wondered how he knew red was another color would go well on her. with her green colored eyes, certainly red was a nice shade to wear. other than green or pink she normally wears. ❛ oh ? there is a ball tomorrow night at the radiant garden castle ? didn’t know about it honestly. i think that may be the perfect time to wear it then. ❜

Leon confirmed, “There is indeed.  I’ve been working on gathering a few bands to perform at it.  Of course, mine will be playing a set there too!”  He looked like he was suppressing a greater excitement; he had been rehearsing hard at Lionheart studios, not just with his own band, but hosting extra lessons for the some of the others he had recruited to help entertain at the Christmas Ball.

feeling his arms around her form and hugging her tightly against him, a blush had crept to her cheeks. she had squirmed a bit and had trouble with moving. then again, part of her, aeris didn’t really want to move from this spot. was this the first time in forever he had hugged her so tightly like this ? what caused him to do such a gesture in the first place anyways ? she wasn’t going to go anywhere, if that is what he believes.

Leon lovingly squeezed the beautiful brunette into his chest, showing a firm grip but never to the point of causing harm.  He felt a pleasant comfort from her warmth, all while his hands gently touched the soft curls of her long hair as well as the smooth fabric of her adorable pink dress.

she says looking at him with a bright smile and honestly, she was proud of herself. most of all, she had accomplished something. not too bad at all. ❛ n-no. not really. i haven’t really took the time to think about it, really. i don’t need to be . . paid for my efforts but it be nice to help them out, though. ❜

“Well, there’s no hurry since they do own several gowns each, but if you find yourself needing a reason for some creative crafting time, I know they’d all love it!” Leon energetically encouraged.

❛  hehe, thanks, leon. but . . i’m not that beautiful. though a flower is a nice touch to it. ❜ she says before rubbing the side of her arms, due to a bit of shyness being shown. seeing his hands held out, aeris couldn’t help but to take a hold of them. giving a gentle squeeze at first.

“You really are though,” Leon offered in sincerity.   He breathed quietly to control his fluttery heart as their hands came together and her sweet little squeeze was applied.  He gave a gentle squeeze in return with both hands, then looked into her emerald green eyes.
