Oh no, that sucks! Maybe just give her time and try to just be her friend for now, and she might open back up to you eventually. My girlfriend and I went through a lot of phases of girlfriends/not girlfriends when things got too intense for the first couple years. But you also deserve to be with someone who looks at you!! Keep your hopes up because she did confess her feelings to you, but be prepared that she might not be as ready for that step as she thought. I wish you the best 💚

BTW, we still live in Michigan! There is a big trans and queer community here, especially southeast MI. We are truly everywhere!
