Well, this was a blast from the past. I did end up making an Art the Clown costume. I can post pics eventually. Funny thing is, the first time I applied the prosthetics the lights in my house started flickering and I freaked out. XD

heres some unpopular opinions on the horror genre: if a piece of media in the horror genre is focused mostly or entirely on gore, it isnt horror, its just tortureporn. a little gore goes a long way and theres nothing wrong with adding it as long as you dont go overboard. if your piece of media focuses nearly entirely on gore and violence toward the protagonists without any meaning or subtlety, its not horror. horror is about intensity and fear, not whatever weird fantasies horror directors have about how many people (usually young women) they can horribly mutilate on screen.

‘tortureporn’ is a subgenre of horror starting in the 90’s-early 2000’s when multiple, unavoidable accounts of what the american military was doing to prisoners and civilians were spread to the general public. it is a genre of horror and it exists for a reason. this post isnt an opinion it’s just a misuse of terminology. the “unpopular” opinion, which isnt actually unpopular, is that op doesnt like this genre
