Oh cool! A Chevrolet COE panel truck (COE = cab over engine. Same as modern snubnose trucks and vans). This one looks to be from 1954-55, based on the grille.
The overall look was pretty well-employed across several makes from the early 1940s to mid-50s in COE trucks and vans. Here's a GMC:
And here's a Ford:
The Chevys strike a particularly fun profile though since they have such honkin' big noses with shorter grilles at the bottom. Here's a couple more for fun:
Love em.

1977 Nissan EV Guide
The Sony Flamingo: When Vinyl Went Vertical
Launched in the early 80s, the PS-F5 (nicknamed "Flamingo") looked nothing like its bulky predecessors. It stood upright, ran on batteries, and could play records vertically like a futuristic sculpture. It was sleek, portable, and unapologetically weird, the kind of thing that looked just as good on a shelf as it sounded in motion.
Engineered at the height of Sony's innovation era, the Flamingo embodied the brand's obsession with turning tech into lifestyle. It wasn't the most practical turntable ever made, but it was by far the coolest, proof that sound could be both design and rebellion.
Man, I love these things so much. But getting one in good working order is so expensive. I *do* have the audio technica sound burger reissue, and it is great. This thing:
It's great and I love it, but it ain't no flamingo. Those things are way higher tec.
The Cony Guppy was a small pickup truck manufactured by Japanese manufacturer Aichi in the 1960s and powered by a two-valve, single-cylinder, 11 horsepower engine and claimed to carry 220lb of cargo. Other features included four-wheel independent suspension and a torque converter. Nissan donated 100 'Datsun Baby' cars based on the Guppy to the Kodomo no Kuni Children's Park in 1965, long after the Guppy had been taken out of production and from leftover parts acquired as a result of their takeover of Aichi.
Look at this cute little bitch. I love.
Oh Kei! Subaru 360, 1958. Micro-cars are not unique to Japan but it is the only to country to legislate and regulate the sector. The category was first created in 1949 to encourage domestic car manufacture and stimulate demand for cars that would be cheap to build, buy and run. The 360 was the first mass produced Kei model and the car that established Subaru as a car maker. Production reached 392,000 units over its 12-year model run.
