Well its that time of year of black Friday and assorted holidays, except I’m worried about my family being homeless! Our landlord(s) are trying to kick us out, which we haven’t paid rent for about a month due to having to spend so much money to keep the house from falling apart and medical expenses as this house is quite literally making me sick as I spend the most time in it. We are unable to pay both the past rent AND the outrageous late fees they keep adding every day (last I checked he said we owe around $1975, please note our rent is like…600? and the late fees have nearly tripled it in just a month alone). BUT we are not wanting to pay that as well WE CANT, and shouldn’t have to, as its not worth it to live in a quite frankly a condemnable house that we can barely use!   We’ve gone 8+ months now with no running water to do their negligence and unwillingness to help or work with us to repair a house they NEVER had inspected nor want to help or understand in any way. A great number of the walls are quite literally crumbling and the roof is also collapsing in, in both my closet and the living room and its cracking the walls due to it sinking in from uneven support as well. The AC is busted since we moved in and the heater went out around October so these nights were its under 30 degrees quite literally is a pain to both my family and our animals. From their ONE attempt to help us the first month we lived here we still have holes in our floor they shoddily patched up which allows both bugs, wildlife and the elements into our home so its a never ending battle that we cannot win no matter how much we treat it or attempt to patch up said floors the best we can. Due to the house’s condition the last snow when it melted causes a humidity spike in areas of our house as well and caused a lot of my stuff to get damaged and overrun with mold including almost all my bedding as well as my bed, some of my clothing and other assortment items that I had to throw out. And there is also black mold in my closet ceiling from where the roof is caving in and leaking. I’m asking for help as we are trying to move to a new house BEFORE we are evicted so it doesn’t go on our record and we are screwed! But even when the process starts by Dec 1st we still have some options that will work with us! It just comes down to having first and last months rent as well as a deposit! Which nobody wants to work with us because there is no way for us to make that much on our own. We cannot take loans out as my dad already had for said medical expenses as well as attempting to keep a roof over our head. We cannot get help from any housing or shelter here, we live in rural Illinois and any funds to help have already been used this time around. And we cannot live in a hotel due to our animals and even then the weekly fees would be almost DOUBLE our 600 rent now! And the salvation army here is of NO help as we are not a Christian household and both my sister and I are gay so :T And my dad refuses to put us in a hostile and dangerous place. (And no we can’t live in our car either, its too cold for that and illegal where we live!) We need roughly 850 to move into this new house as well as to connect everything back on.(This is the cheapest we found!! Its for first and last PLUS deposit and our best choice!!) I don’t care if we cant turn the water on right away as we’ve been living 8+ months without running water now, but it would be nice to not have to beg my mom (who doesn’t live with us and ‘cannot’ or simply ‘refuses’ to help) to use her shower when i need to go to work that day. —————————– Babs is fixed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative and about 8-10 years old. She didn’t much enjoy being shaved (who would?) but never motioned to swat or bite anyone, and I’m pretty sure her whiskers set some kind of record for length.  Also, don’t tell the shelter workers I told you, but her adoption fee has already been taken care of. She’s with Shelter Friends of St. Charles, Missouri. 314-750-7979 So…is there anyone in the Missouri-Illinois area in need of a pretty lap cat? People will scoff and call you silly and that it’s too hard, because we’re stuck in this backwards lazy notion that that is “owning a cat” and have never given it another thought, we need to change it.

Cotylorhiza tuberculata is a much smaller jellyfish that hangs out in warmer waters. It only reaches about 35 cm in diameter, so don’t go for this Fried Egg Jelly if you want a big breakfast. Unlike most jellyfish, C. tuberculata can swim on its own, without relying on the currents for movement. It’s sting (if you can even call it that) is so feeble that it has very little to no effect on humans at all. I mean, it does look like a breakfast food, after all… how powerful could it be?
