I love the space lobster look, because I mean why not? I’ve not flown it much, so I can’t really comment on how it handles, but it does a damn fine job helping out with admiralty. :D I really like the aesthetic the Breen ships have in general with how irregular they look.

A ship’s worth of ec later, I can officially say that I own and have tested each of the new mirror lobi outfits. I will mention that some of the bugs I’m going to point out have been fixed on the test server and will be making their way to the holodeck at some point (hopefully) soon, but I still think it worth mentioning them since this is what we got on release. Of the four packs available, the feds very clearly have the best options. If you only get one pack, either the Oddy or Jupiter packs would be a good investment as far as bang for your buck goes. Each comes with several tops, even if some are only the reskin of the ENT mirror top, and the Jupiter box comes with several very nice chest piece options as well as a nice belt similar to the Romulan Republic ones and two types of armbands available for either arm. Rank pips are also supposed to be on the way, which is nice. Admiral Leeta’s booty shorts are supposedly in the Jupiter pack, as all advertising and even the box itself indicates, but it seems to be an item included in the Odyssey pack for the time being. They’re also only available in red or dark red, but that should be fixed soon. I’ve heard a lot of love and a lot of hate for the little shorts, but I think my favorite possibly unintended use for them is as swim shorts since they’re currently showing as an option in the swimwear separates category.  Romulans basically get a vest version of the Republic jackets that don’t look too bad. You can use either of the standard Republic undershirts, though I think they missed the opportunity to add a third option of no undershirt since this is the mirror ‘verse. It’s definitely possible, and I have several bridge officers who don’t like their undershirts already, like the Reman I’ve shown here. Unfortunately the top is all the box contains, making the cost rather steep for going sleeveless. Klingons, as is often the case, got the short end of the stick. I’ve seen complaints about the fed mirror tops clipping, but the tiny clipping issues are nothing compared to the mirror Bortasque tops. The male version doesn’t clip on the torso and looks pretty nice as an almost “updated” version of the sleeveless top kdf males can already rock, but the bottom doesn’t align with the hips correctly, so it looks like his torso is floating. It’s less noticeable dead-on, but still visible from some angles. This was surprising considering how perfectly the original Bortasque top joins to the hips. The female crop top looks a bit hastily cut and doesn’t have anything that gives the sense that it was meant to be made that way, as is the case with the cropped winter tops or most of the other mirror tops; it just suddenly ends. That aside, it currently clips badly in most stances, but even worse when the character walks or runs. You can also wear your fleet emblem with it at the moment, making it look like an odd sticker slapped on your arm, though I think that’s sort of fun if your fleet has a cool symbol. Honestly, though, I’d be more forgiving of the shortcomings with the kdf and rom options if they also came with Leeta’s booty shorts or some of the belt or chest piece options. Or, better yet, each came with some custom sashes or belts or something to make them more unique since both fed boxes include so much. It’s true that the fed assets were already in game for the most part, but shorting the other factions so badly by compare just feels unfair, especially when the Federation options are really nice for the price.
