Ive been dealing with major burnout and captial-D depression lately and so ive gotten totally obsessed with trans woman Ranma fanfics to make my brain feel goo.

A lot of stress tied to finances and worries about my future. To tell you the truth, I think I'm falling into, or have already fallen into depression. I've always been depressive - my bad times are not new, but this does feel much worse than the usual.

Something that's different this time is that I can't seem to find the will to draw at all. On one hand, I feel the crushing weight of responsibility; that drawing is the only means I have to pull myself out of this, but I can barely think of anything worth working on, much less "just have fun and see what comes of it". I think the lack of financial security has extremely caught up with me, and paralysed me.

I have realised and accepted that I cannot afford to stay in my apartment, which is.. daunting, but alright. I'm not emotionally attached to this place, but I am reaching the level of stress/anxiety where my stomach hurts through the day, and without the ability to draw, it feels like there's little reprieve for it.

I'm writing this post because I don't know what else to do right now - only that I have to do something other than what I have been doing. It would really mean the world to me if anyone would consider donating or subscribing to my kofi, even with just a few dollars, or buy a print, while I try to get my spark back. I want to share more art with you all as soon as possible, and I am trying. I do not know what words could help at the moment, but it would still mean much to me if you had any words of inspiration.

well the first thing is to diagnose what that "some reason" is that makes it intimidating to you. i don't know if it's a 'what if i embarrass myself' problem or a 'i don't know how to draw the pussy and/or dick good' problem but the answer to option A is: you will but you don't have to act like you have. embarrassment is an entirely internal affair. you gotta get good with yourself and accept it (or at the very least, just make sure it's not easy to find by people who you wouldn't want to find it)

go and google "woman tied up legs open," pick one, and draw it. you have 45 minutes. pay close attention to whatever weird thing's going on in her hip bones and muscles around the pussy and how her stomach folds over and how gravity affects her tits. then google "man bent over naked," pick one, and draw it. once again you have 45 minutes. pay attention to the weird way ass cheeks and scrotum are connected and where his butthole is relative to the balls, and what his back muscles are doing. then google something you actually want to draw and pay attention to all the weird things the human body is doing in that. you can spend as long as you want on it. you've now drawn porn three times. you are in the water. go swim. draw feet. i'm not a foot guy but Good Feet can go such a long way to making it look like you know what you're doing.
