guinevere’s life was never normal - she was born to an unmarried woman , supposedly she was the bastard daughter of king edward iv . while she was not officially acknowledged as such she and her mother were given a lavish estate to live in - which included an allowance to be spent however she wished , and servants to attend to her . admittedly , she grew up spoiled - bratty and selfish . it was to be expected of anyone who grew up with the life that she had . what made it worse was that she was beautiful and she knew it . from a young age she had suitors , admirers , visits from wealthy men who wished for her to marry their sons . as she grew she enjoyed turning them down more and more , they weren’t good enough for her , no one was .

she was twenty when she met someone who could’ve been worthy --- his name was lysander . he was tall , dark haired and the most handsome man she had ever met . they met one night while she was attending a party , she saw him from across the ballroom and she claimed him . and he claimed her , but in a different way . you see , he was a vampire and she was his singer -- he desired her blood more than he had ever desired anything in his long immortal life . they shared one , beautiful dance together and then all hell broke loose . he bit her , drinking her blood --- she slowly began to lose consciousness , sure she was going to die , and finally she did . when she woke up she was at home , a bandage on her neck . she was alone and saw herself in the mirror -- her eyes were blood red , her skin paler and smoother than it was . her first thought was ‘ i am even more beautiful then i was ’ . shallow , she knew it .

and then she felt it , the burning pain in her throat -- the overwhelming desire to quench a thirst . there were voices , the sounds of heart beats all begging to be silenced . she worked in a blur , moving throughout the house and draining every last human dry . by the time she was finished she’d realized what she’d done as she saw her mother’s lifeless body in her arms . she cried , tears unable to shed as she wailed at the loss she had caused . she fled ,  and from that moment she decided to she was too much of a monster to be around anyone . she avoided humanity , only drinking blood when she absolutely needed to -- feeding on people she knew wouldn’t be missed . guinevere found her favorite temporary residences were old , crumbling castles --- they reminded her of the life she had lost , in a pleasant sort of way .

she stayed alone for centuries , until she met cora -- guinevere had made a conscious effort to avoid everyone , even her own kind , but cora snuck up on her ( in a sense ) . she’d spent so much time alone , wallowing in her own misfortune and sadness , that she never thought she’d be happy again . but cora made her happy , just being in the woman’s presence made her life seem . . . less bothersome . she had finally found a companion , a friend to share her days with . while made an attempt to blend in with the humans guinevere still held back , going into towns only at night and for short periods of time .

she still has a hard time being around people , considering herself a monster -- but because of cora she no longer feels like being a monster means she can’t be . . . better . guinevere doesn’t really understand why cora wanted to come to forks , but she couldn’t leave her to go alone .

𝖆 𝖌𝖎𝖗𝖑 𝖎𝖘 𝖇𝖔𝖗𝖓 𝖎𝖓 𝖇𝖊𝖆𝖚𝖙𝖞 , 990 ad .

( most of tanya’s backstory is canon up until a point , so you can read about her early life here . any changes will be listed in the following bullets . )

when her mother died , the denali girl’s sought the comfort of human men - and for many years they went on killing and eating them - but eventually tanya realized she cared for the men , and didn’t want to continue as she was . but she had trouble controlling her strength , which resulted in her having to kill them to keep her secret - until one day . she made a small wish as she lay in bed with her lover , she said ‘ i wish you could forget this in the morning ’ - and he did .

that’s how she discovered her gift , the powerful gift to alter the minds of others : she could make them forget , give them new memories , change their way of thinking - she could control them as well . this gift terrified her , and she told only her coven ; and when carmen and eleazar came she told them as well . a few of the cullen family may be aware . her gift is a secret that only a few can know , and it’s why she is so strongly against breaking any of the volturi’s rules - the fear of aro discovering her gift and wanting it for his collection is enough to make her scream . she’s careful with her thoughts , knowing that others like edward could exist .

( sam’s backstory is pretty much canon aside from some date changes , so i’ll like that here . any changes will be made in the following bullets . ) 

sam is a lot calmer , less aggressive then he is in the books and movies - his main goal will always be to protect the tribe and the people of forks . sam didn’t want jacob to break off on his own but he understands why , because sam isn’t going to focus on the newborn army unless they become a danger to la push or forks - right now they seem to only be focused on the cullens . vampire business is not his concern .

𝖑𝖎𝖋𝖊 𝖉𝖊𝖆𝖑𝖙 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖆 𝖇𝖆𝖉 𝖍𝖆𝖓𝖉 , 1996 .

he doesn’t remember much about his childhood ; he knows he was abandoned at a hospital when he was only a few months old , that he bounced around the foster care system of chicago before finally landing with a good family around the age of 13 . his foster family , the last one , was amazing - and they treated him like an actual member of the family . he had a foster brother and sister who were both cool and sporty , and the parents were . . . nice . not anything special , but nice .

when he was 17 he was on a camping trip with his foster dad and brother when he wandered too far into the woods on his own - that’s when he came face to face with a wolf . he couldn’t run or scream , and the next thing he remembers is waking up in the hospital with a nasty bite on his side - it was healed within a day or two - but he was never the same after that night . he could feel he was stronger , faster than he ever could’ve imagined he’d be , but the perks came at a price . at a party with some friends he got plastered and pissed , ended up in a fight and breaking some guy’s arm and leg like it was nothing .

that’s when he knew something was wrong with him , he packed a bag and ran - a few nights later was the full moon . he changed for the first time , discovering his new cursed nature . he traveled around , keeping his distance from everyone ( if not physically at least emotionally ) until he met a young woman . she was different , like him , but not - she was a vampire and their instincts told them to run from each other but instead they developed a connection - she became his sister , in a sense . and they traveled together , separating during the full moon so that he wouldn’t risk hurting her .

they’re in forks now by chance , he’s working at a local auto shop to make some money - living in a small apartment just on the edge of town .

𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖜𝖔𝖗𝖑𝖉 𝖎𝖘 𝖚𝖓𝖐𝖎𝖓𝖉 , 1839 .

jasper whitlock was born in texas in 1839 , his father was a slave and his mother was the daughter of a wealthy plantation owner . laws back then were different and when it came to ‘ mixed race ’ children they would be born with the status of their mothers , since most were born to slave mothers . because of this jasper was born free but life wasn’t easy for him . he grew up with more opportunities then he would have , he was given tutors and money - and his mother loved him but that wasn’t able to make everything better .

he grew into a fine , educated southern gentleman - but he lived in a place where that didn’t mean much , where the only thing most people saw was the color of his skin . in the south he followed the exploits of abraham lincoln , favoring him over all others . eventually he decided to make his way up north , wanting to support the union . he hadn’t made it very far on horse back when he ran into a woman - maria . she was a vampire and thought he would be an excellent choice to help her grow her army .

( things from this point are pretty much canon up until coming to forks - i.e. discovered his power , led maria’s army , left the army , met alice , joined the cullens blah blah ) .

he arrived in forks with his family , under the guise of an aspiring writer seeking to use forks as his inspiration . he published a book of course , to keep up appearances . edward met bella and jasper’s life got harder - he was the newest to adjust to animal blood and his self control wasn’t as strong as his sibling’s . the disaster of bella’s birthday party is one of his greatest shames , he hates himself for losing control and for putting the girl in danger .

evelyn was born to a loving mother and father right here in forks , but when she was a year old she moved to portland after her father got a new job . despite this she would visit forks often growing up since both her grandparents still lived there . when she was a little girl she discovered that she wasn’t normal - whenever she touched someone she would get a ‘ vibe ’ about them , whether something good or bad or sad would happen to them . sometimes she could perceive what would to them in an hour or even two . not a vision , just an inkling . she would take her feelings and use them to drive her art - as a child it was crayon drawings but the older she got the more her art evolved . crayons turned to pastels which turned to charcoal and then paint - she told no one about her ‘ gift ’ knowing it would make her sound . . . mad . so she kept it all inside .

in high school she stayed with the ‘ in ’ crowd , a naturally bubbly and outgoing person she did her best to avoid touching people - which was easier said then done . things got easier after she graduated high school and started college , it was easier to stay away from others and focus on her degree . where she once wanted to become a famous artist she now wanted to become a curator - to design galleries , to tell stories with art . after graduating from college she was set to start an internship in los angeles but got word that her grandmother was sick . her grandmother ruthie owns the local flower shop in forks , so instead of doing her internship evie decided to help her grandma .
