🎀 the themes of this series are bringing people together using technology, self identity, and video gaming. the style takes influence from 2000's anime and the miku design style, similar to how star twinkle takes after 80's aesthetics.

tsunagari airi is a fully self sufficient robot being, her production being started by yuyu's father when yuyu was just a baby. after she took over the project and finished airi, she became a real girl, one of a kind. but after a mysterious force causes discord within her home city, airi has to come to terms not only with becoming a pretty cure, but with walking the border between an entire other digital world that she hadn't even known about before.

tsunagari yuyu grew up watching her father work on the blueprints and schematics of his dream project every day, wanting to create automatic life that could pass as a human. he had unfortunately passed away before he was able to complete the project, however. yuyu had always had an interest in robotics because of her father's work, though, and with her mother's approval, decided to dedicate all of her free time onward to continuing her dad's legacy. spending all of her time working on robots, however, caused her to be socially awkward and somewhat shy.

Yoku Nari is the daughter of the group's leader, "the Don" Yoku Shin. She thinks everything in the world belongs to her, and likes to take credit for things she didn't do. She also likes to do a big ojou-sama laugh when things go her way. Her and her father's names are puns on various words for "selfish" (yokubari, donyoku, and yokushin).

Uramimi is Nari's personal maid. She doesn't talk much, but when she does, it's clear she's just barely holding back some pretty intense anger. It's later revealed that she's our resident corrupted fairy, who turned to the dark side due to her grudge again the precure of the past. Her name is a pun on the word for grudge (urami), and her fairy name means bear ears (kuma mimi) because she's a bear.

And last is Akogio, the family chauffeur. This is the only regular guy on the team. Like, he's flamboyant and campy, but he's just acting. This is just a job for him. His real name is Fueki Akihiro, and his little brother Kazuya is a reoccuring minor character who goes to the same school as the cures. He'll get redeemed in the midseason and go on to get a job that doesn't include monster summoning. His name is a pun on "greed" (Akogi).
