Maybe they are a bit shy? "H-hey, um... you know what the mistletoe means, right?"

Maybe they just... have no clue? "I was told to hold this above your head... can you tell me why?"

Or, hey, maybe it's a certain meddling, match-making sibling that holds the mistletoe? "Uh oh! Looks like two little love birds are under the mistletoe! Now you gotta ki~iss!"

Either way, imagine their delight when you give them a kiss for their efforts!

It's my birthday

I love Messmer the Impaler.

Now, imagine your f/o walking in to see you dancing. Doesn't matter if you're graceful as a falling feather, or clumsy as a bull in a china shop. You're having fun, and that's what matters.

How do they react?

Do they just stand there, gobsmacked and enamored by your moves?

Do they jump in, pulling you in to dance along?

Or do they come in just to turn off the music because it was annoying them?

Them spacing out during the day, maybe at work, thinking about you. Friends and family members catching them daydreaming and they just respond “Oh! It’s nothing, just got distracted.”

How after the two of you hang out, they look at the place you were sitting and just, ache. That you’re not there anymore. How they try not to look desperate when you text them, thinking that maybe if they wait a minute to open your messages, they won’t have to confront how down BAD they are for you.

Maybe they even swap clothes with you, maybe they take a shirt, or a hoodie or sweater from you, playing it off as a joke or just “something friends do”. But when they get home, it’s wrapped around their favorite pillow, or they wear it around the house sometimes just so they can feel close to you.
