SPOILERS FOR VOL3 - my thoughts
(really unorganized thoughts.. just needed to rant after watching that.) oh my god Oh. My. God.
what... they... just... what??
so will really DID just get over his YEARS LONG CRUSH in like 2 days. What?? How do u go from “what signs?” to “he was just my Tammy” in LESS THAN A WEEK?? WHATTTT?? Like did the writers contradict themselves or did like EVERYONE just interpret that wrong?? Like that conversation hit home with SO MANY VIEWERS and then later it’s like it was for… nothing. Who does that? WHO DOES THAT?
and also they choose NOW to focus on milkvan? srsly? after she died (or maybe not? i dont even know what happened with her storyline...)? and there was like no milkvan kiss the whole season and everyone was SURE they had broken up and then just... at the last second they kissed? so were they dating or not throughout this season because it sure seemed like they werent..
it was also the biggest queerbait of the CENTURY, like what the hell?? the worst thing is that after vol2 I started having hope again but then it turned out to be a slowburn rejection. who the hell writes 9 year long slowburn rejections. who even writes slowburn rejections in the first place??? idek how to feel rn. I’m not sobbing or yelling or doing anything I thought I would if we just got queerbaited. I’m just. Numb. Like I am not feeling anything right now I think im still in shock.
and yes, it IS that deep. byler could have been WORLD CHANGING, especially in todays times.
but no matter what, it has been a fun journey with u guys. I loved reading the theories and analyzations, they were genuinely AMAZING. im glad that i got to be a part of that, even if it did just end up being a queerbait, slowburn rejection in the end.
EDIT: Also, the suffer brothers had to clear a lot of things up about this season in interviews. INTERVIEWS. If things about ur show needs to be cleared up through articles, tweets, or interviews, it was not good writing. SHOW DON'T TELL!!
