when the codex is cuboid

the cards have now been printed out! I glued the designs onto card to strengthen them a bit, they're a little bigger than standard tarot size but will work for what i need. might also try rounding off the corners.

each one represents a player character and when drawn before a battle will confer a useful (or equally detrimental if reversed) effect to the party. i've tried to mimic the art style of Pamela Colman Smith, who made the illustrations for the original Rider-Waite-Smith deck.

also realised i needed a design for the back so drew that, made sure you can't tell if the card is reversed or not. i've reused the six-fingered hand from my custom character sheets so it all matches.

wanted to draw some extra ref stuff for Livingmann for art fight

he's a reborn warlock, formerly a lich until some death god related shenanigans messed with his immortality. now he borrows power from the residual fear from his reign of terror to try to figure out how to fix his predicament. (i made a flowchart a while ago to properly explain it)

the idea is that before every battle the players must randomly pick a certain number of cards from the ones they have gathered so far, which then apply specific modifiers to the fight (drawn upright benefits the players, reversed makes things more difficult)
