this is my recent drawing of my dear friend mohamed's daughter, sarah.

you can be the reason for sarah's smile. follow this link to mohamed's fundraiser. this money allows him to protect the remaining members as they survive unfathomable violence. as a plea to fellow artists: if you draw a portrait every time a celebrity dies, you can create art that will generate interest in living palestinian fundraisers. @save-mohamed-family needs our help. my drawings have increased his donations significantly over the last few days, but there is lots left to go before he and his family meet his goal. please create work for my friend mohamed. an original image paired with a link to this fundraiser gets more reach than almost any other type of fundraiser promotion i have attempted. there is nothing morally suspect about drawing subjects that interest you, but i beg you if your work gets any kind of visibility, to make outreach a part of your practice. even if it is a small part, you are doing immeasurable good by using your talents to directly benefit people living in a desperate situation. your creative contributions are simple and effective. lives depend on this becoming a community effort rather than forcing so many displaced people to rely on the kindness of rare individual artists. sarah and i thank you for your kindness and your effort. here is the link to her father's fundraiser one more time. share it with someone you love.
