Thanks to our friends at the Aladdin Theater, we're offering a very special giveaway—guest spots at the sold out John Waters 77th Birthday Celebration on Saturday, April 22nd!

Here's how to participate: Print or hand write a short letter about why you love John Waters so much and drop it in our mail slot on the bottom of our front doors. Be sure to include your contact information. We'll be accepting letters starting today, March 1st, through the end of the month. On April 1st, we'll randomly select two people who will each get two guest spots at John's sold out show.

If you didn't already know, we're hosting a week-long series of John Waters films April 17th - 23rd! Tickets already going fast for many of the shows. The Portland premiere of CAT DADDIES (2022) sold out in advance of its 7:00 PM screening last night, so we added a matinee that came close to selling out as well. Director Mye Hoang was in attendance and did a Q&A with the audience following both screenings. Big thanks to the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon for tabling and helping people get stray and barn cats the services they need. It was really nice to have a full house of lovely cat lovers during the post-holiday chill and a testament to the power of cinema. If any independent theaters out there are looking for a heartwarming documentary, we can't recommend this one enough.
