The twenty-second card in my Saturday Morning Tarot and the final card of the Major Arcana is The World. It represents completion, success, belonging, and fulfillment. While Captain Planet seemed like an obvious choice for his name and visuals alone, the fact that he’s a culmination of everyone’s powers and the typical episode ends with him showing up to save the day made Captain Planet fit this card conceptually as well. Gaia the spirit of the Earth wraps her arms around him in a similar fashion to the laurel wreath from the original card representing the natural cycles of life. The Planeteers at the corners stand in for the seasons and the four fixed signs of the zodiac.

So that’s all the cards I have for now. Where do we go from here? The plan is to crowdfund a limited run of the entire deck sometime in January/February. In the meantime, I’ll be creating and sharing some of the key cards in the minor arcana (Swords, Cups, Wands, Coins) probably once a week and keeping you guys updated on the status of the crowdfunding campaign as it develops. Thank you for all the support on these. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while now and super happy I could finally share them with you. Can’t wait to finish the rest of the deck.
