♡ Cold, it was so cold. Your skin was prickling, hairs up and down your body were raising, your teeth clenched.

♡ Your chest hurt, ached even. Your eyes felt strained, pulled, almost blinded by the sight before you.

♡ Blood dripped down onto the floor, quietly trickling - taunting you

♡ The source? A slab of all unnatural appearance with hazardous warnings decorated over it, bright yellow tape beaming at you.

♡ However, it seemed no warning had been heeded.

♡ There was blood, it had been well established. After all, that’s what you’d all been called in for - a death. It was only natural to expect that blood was to be seen, especially given the brutal nature of those long since passed before.

♡ But, you didn’t want to believe it. No, you couldn’t believe it. You had to not, for if you did, you’d just be accepting it.

♡ Everybody else, though with a heavy heart, you could accept. But this time, this time you couldn’t.

♡ Because that would mean he was dead. It would mean your Kokichi was dead.

♡ Denial is a stubborn thing, and you’d be damned if you didn’t believe the truth was not factual.

♡ Darkness circled around you, teasing your peripherals, gradually looming in closer than before. Your body shivered, the blood within you running dangerously cold.

♡ The blood…

♡ Your blood, your blood still flowing. It was coursing through you, bringing you life.

♡ It nauseated you.

♡ You tried not to think about what lay underneath the machinery. How destroyed your Kokichi must be, how drained his body had become. Nor did you wish to think about how he must be morbidly akin to paper, how his pale skin must be coated in blood.

♡ But, you couldn’t stop yourself. It was almost as if your mind was actively conjuring up imagery for you, no matter how hard you tried not to think about it.

♡ You couldn’t take your eyes off the hydraulic press, not even for a moment. The darkness grew closer, almost pushing you towards the press. It was as if you and it, you and what remain of him, were the only things left in the world.

♡ The blood continued to drip, you could hear it now. It was cruel, tedious, toying with you. It must have amplified, it had to have.

♡ He was under there, and you were alone with it. No one was there, no one was with you.

♡ There was no trial, no assistance, no ending. Just you, the hidden remains of Kokichi, and the terrible tapping of blood against the now invisible floor.

♡ Why did he do it…?

♡ You felt the tears begin, although it felt like they were detached from your body. They didn’t feel like yours, but you knew it was your pain.

♡ Without warning, your arms stretched out in front of you, scooping up what seemed to just be air. You tried to reach the press, fingers curling, but you couldn’t get there. It was right in front of you, so why couldn’t you make it?

♡ More tears began to fall, your throat closing up. You didn’t focus on it though, desperately grasping despite the failure.

♡ This wasn’t how it was supposed to be.

♡ …

♡ Kokichi woke up to the feeling of warmth pressing into him, almost as if it were holding him hostage. It puzzled him and, for a moment, he began to assume it was just the temperature of the air.

♡ Until his body clocked the feeling of fingers pressing into his skin.

♡ They were weak presses, more similar to a twitch than any demanding action.

♡ That’s when he shifted his focus, now aware of the arms that held him close.

♡ Of course…

♡ Though the game ended up being an elaborate display of pretend, the events of it had really messed with all involved.

♡ For you, it had disturbed your state of mind. It seeped into your subconscious thoughts, feelings and, as of late, dreams.

♡ Kokichi had gradually begun to familiarise himself with these issues of yours, not as startled anymore when you reacted through your sleep.

♡ Sometimes, you’d scream. Other times, you’d mumble, beg, argue to someone unknown.

♡ This time, you grabbed him.

♡ Holding onto him like there was no other way to secure him, you kept him close to you, the back of him pressed against your chest.

♡ And, the most heartbreaking part? You weren’t even aware.

♡ Kokichi had learnt to become patient when you experienced these nightmares, acknowledging it wasn’t intentional.

♡ He tried to move, just to shift to see you, but it didn’t work.

♡ Your arms were wrapped around too tight, fingers still twitching, as if he were slipping from you.

♡ “Hey, Y/N,” he began, voice just barely above a whisper, “Oi!”

♡ Nothing.

♡ He went quiet again, staring off blankly.

♡ He didn’t often know what more to do in situations like these. He could acknowledge it all he wanted, but he struggled.

♡ After all, he was uneasy himself. Who wouldn’t be?

♡ It was only recently you’d both been released back into the world. Everyone in DICE knew there was a great deal of trouble amongst you both, baggage you hinted at but never fully discussed, and it had been…difficult.

♡ You had both been subjected to horrors no one could else could quite comprehend.

♡ The simulation dealt a lot of damage, especially psychologically.

♡ Kokichi made the decision to wait a little while, just to see if you’d calm on your own.

♡ There was no wailing, no discussion, just the quiet sound of uneven breathing.

♡ Again, he shifted, but this time to bring his arms up. Carefully, he brought them over your own. They hovered for a moment, as Kokichi was never good with genuine physical contact, before he slowly pressed against your own. His hands, a little shaky as they moved, curled over yours.

♡ It took a minute but, eventually, you stilled. You weren’t grasping anymore, nor was your breathing unsteady.

♡ He didn’t return to sleep though, not for another few minutes.

♡ There was nothing but silence, as if some unseen conflict had finally been settled.

♡ And he needed to ponder over it for a bit, all the while still against your chest, hands over yours.

♡ Kokichi has never had his soul rocked more than that day. He went onto the launchpad over and over.

♡ He screams a lot.

♡ Whether it’s intentional or not, no one knows, but he is yelling the house down.

♡ He’s having the time of his life though, it’s pretty easy to tell.

♡ Fell face first into the pit at one point.

♡ 100% changes poses every time it’s his turn to launch you.

♡ Swan diving, sitting as if he’s pondering, flipping (before being told off by the workers), he does everything. Dude is passionate about flinging you into the air 😭

♡ Flails around in the air when he gets launched.

♡ There’s also one of those maze zones with those stationary machines that fire plastic balls at anyone you aim for.

♡ When Kokichi was bored of being flung, he dragged you to said maze.

♡ He was a little too into it.

♡ He was just hitting anything and everything.

♡ Screamed like a girl when you hit him.

♡ Told all his friends you tried to kill him. (They knew he was just weak.)

"As long as you don't harass or-" I know you mean well, but you aren't actually helping.

Most people do not condone or support terrible actions like harassment by default. This is not something that you need to specify. By outright stating that you are anti-harassment, it ends up making people believe one of two things: 1. You're lying, and you support harassment, or 2. You're paranoid, and it's hard to build up trust in you.

It's the same with making "nonsharers are valid" posts with a bunch of disclaimers at the end, or making posts going "hey friendly reminder not to harass people over doubles ok." It creates distrust by implying that you believe nonsharers ARE prone to harassment by default, and that we have to "prove" that we aren't "one of the bad ones".

And it ALWAYS happens after a nonsharer ends up harming people over a double. I get it; You want to remind people to be decent with each other. But again, you make it seem like it's an issue with the entirety of nonsharers when it was that one person who caused harm.

Sharing selfshippers can harass people. Selective/mirror sharing selfshippers can harass people. Nobody makes posts saying "sharing selfshippers are valid... as long as you aren't fucking evil about it and you know how to be a decent person, which I hope you are!" So let me reiterate:

Nonsharing selfshippers are valid. That is a complete statement.

Ibuki With OCD Reader During Exposure Therapy

I don't have OCD nor have I ever had to do exposure therapy so I'm very sorry if it's mischaracterized!! I try to do some research on these things before I write them but I wouldn't know how it actually is!!

Ibukis voice is loud, you always hear her before you see her. Right now, you just wanted a little bit of quiet but with Ibuki thats a stupid wish. Her name called out to you as she almost broke your door down trying to get it open, cheerfully skipping over to your bed before flopping down onto it.

"Hey! What is uupppp!" Hyper and exuberant as always, she flips over onto her stomach and kicks her feet back and forth in the air. You smile at her from your seat diagonal from the bed, though it's not much, head tilting slightly as you study her.

She hums quietly to herself, "what is up with you, actually?" Shes curious, prying for more information on why you somehow seem different than usual.

"Oh!" She blurts out loudly before you even have time to respond to her question. "Ibuki forgot! The therapy stuff! How's that going?" You lean back in your chair, knee bouncing slightly.

"Yeah, well It's definitely hard," you laugh quietly, watching her legs flick back and forth like a metronome. "I never thought it would be this stressful," you admit to her. It was the truth, exposure therapy is a lot but it's for the best, even if it's exhausting mentally.

"I mean, Ibuki thinks you're doing great," she compliments, her arms spread out to each side of her like a starfish. "Is there anything you'd wanna do? To get your mind off it and stuff! I could sing you a song!"

"Just talk," you reply, Ibukis cheerful personality rubbing off on you like it always does. "It's nice to talk with you."

Ibuki giggles, lifting her head up from where it was smashed into your mattress, "ibuki loves talking so this works out perfect!"

She's beaming with happiness, more than willing to take your mind off it all. "You're so strong, I'm impressed," she comments thoughtfully, finally pushing herself up to sit crisscrossed. She pats the spot next to her, getting you to move from the small arm chair.

You plop yourself down next to her carefully as she leans over to rest her head on your shoulder. "I'm always here if you need," she hums happily. She pops her head up quickly to kiss your cheek before leaning back down.

"I know you are, Ibuki, thank you," you giggle quietly as her kiss tickles your cheek. Her hand slinks over to grab yours, fingers interlocking together, her fingers mildly calloused from her guitar.

"I know you'll get through it, you always do," she muses, rubbing her thumb against the back of your hand slowly. She was surprisingly calm, though ibuki always had a keen sense for what you needed in the moment.

There's a brief moment of silence, the only thing you could her is the light hum of the ceiling fan. You both just enjoy eachothers company, soaking up the time together.

You finally break the quiet after a bit, "I love you."

Ibuki grins, leaning herself closer to you before speaking, "I love you more!" She pushes too close and you both slump onto the bed, she's then clambering on top of you. "Ibuki wins!" She cheers as she kisses all over your face from above.

You laugh and hug her and she let's herself go limp on you like a weighted blanket. Exposure therapy is stressful and scary, but at least you still have ibuki when you come home.
