kyoko is polite enough to throw in a "good work." and a genuine "i'm proud of you." every time her partner updates her on something new they added to one of their many projects. she can appreciate the creativity her partner has─but knows that it can come with a lot of self doubt. she doesn't allow for them to feel such things for long because she knows exactly what to say to cheer them up. she takes her partner's hand in her own gloved one and tells them to never lose their competitive drive.
toko admires their energetic approach to any challenge they face. as someone who experiences burnout often herself, she can't help but say praises to her partner. "y-you're really the b-best...you know that?" she stammers out, already feeling flustered. her eyes were to the ground until she decided to take a glance at them, who was also looking quite nervous. her compliments only got a little bit better as their time together went on.
aoi, who is somewhat competitive herself, is happy to be in a relationship with someone who is of the same mindset as her! they share advice, admonish each other when needed, and of course hype each other up at each other's respective tournaments. she also finds it adorable how shy they become at a single compliment.
celestia can understand what it's like to put hardwork and focus into whatever they're passionate about. a little grin appears on her red tinted lips every once in a while when she sees them concentrated on a project they've been working on. she keeps her pokerface as she watches them participate in a tournament, as well as when she's congratulating them for winning. she secretly loves how sheepish they become when receiving praise.
sakura is one of the best people to have around when it comes to practicing for certain competitions. especially if the competition in question has anything to do with fighting.
if not, she'll be there to give advice and lend some kind words to them. the more she does this, the more they anticipate the day of the competition to roll around so they can impress her. they'll go into it repeating her words inside their head like a mantra. they feel special knowing someone is somewhere in the crowd rooting for them.
sayaka teases them about how smiley they get when she compliments their drive. she jokes about attending each and every one of their tournaments or recitals. well, which ever one it is, she wishes she could be there for them. taking some time out of her own very busy schedule isn't exactly easy. she sighs wistfully. she tells them to do their very best and is on her way back to rehearsal. she doesn't even get to see the small smile blossoming on their face.
her method of encouraging others is very backwards, but of course that's just junko being junko. "you don't want to fail this, do you?" she'll whisper, only mere inches away from them. she'll push them to train, to study, to perfect their craft by any means neccessary and without pause. it's a win-win situation. (for her) she gets to see them in despair, and they get the satisfaction of success when all is said and done.
as a soldier, mukuro didn't get praise. she doesn't exactly give out compliments like they're candy. but when she does, and when it's about their hardwork and the 'never give up' attitude they tend to have, she makes sure she's speaking from the heart.
