The poetry of the earth is never dead.

I painted this early last year after learning my good online friend ValkyrieKago passed away. I keep thinking of her regularly and it still feels surreal... I hope, wherever she is now, she'll have as much fun as possible.

Her golden hair is the wheat that caresses the earth, her name and roles, as mentioned in old-norse literature, speaks of familial bonds.

The earth teaches us many lessons. If we listen, we may understand if what we fear is the reality. Or an illusion we can see past. The forest helped me find happiness within and outside.
