On top of all that, the painting still hasn’t been fully addressed and Byler finally becoming canon in the LAST episode feels so rushed, like the Suffer brothers care more about the surprise factor than Mike and Will’s relationship, and that they’re doing it in the last episode so they don’t lose fans.

NOT TO MENTION if Mike is Will’s Tammy, then it might be a (stupid stupid stupid) open to interpretation ending where Will meets his Vickie like five minutes before the end just to give the audience a little something to make us feel like he has a happy ending, but he has literally had a crush on Mike forever and if they don’t end up together then Stranger Things has just been a five season long series of Will Byers going through the fucking wringer and having The Worst time ever, where he doesn’t even get the girl (Michael Wheeler) in the end.

I’m literally crashing out over this, especially if

a) Eleven lives and her + Mike end up together because that’s not even healthy for her at this point, and also Mike has been a pretty awful boyfriend to her so far, not to mention the obvious queerbait.

I thought to myself that if they don't show us byler now, it will be in episode eight.

Think about it, probably the biggest plot twist of the decade and they're going to reveal it in Vol 2???? HA I don't think so.

Plus, if the end of byler was going to be unrequited, then we as an audience would've gotten closure of any type from Mike. Something that told us he definitely didn't return Will's feelings... But we didn't.

Instead, what we got is byler almost never interacting, mleven scenes being the least romantic thing ever, and El (my baby) is planning to die.

And!!!! We got Will's (my son) coming out scene!!!!

Now, we know Mike doesn't know Will loves him, we know that. But now, he knows Will likes men. So he's got a chance.

Also, Will saying that this someone is 'his Tammy'. Mike never rejected Will, in fact, he never gave us a sign in this season (or any season) that he would reject him.

Will just assumed Mike could never love him.

But we still don't have Mike's side of the story.

And we're still yet to see the many scenes Finn and Noah filmed together. We're still yet to see Finn carrying the emotional weight of the plot, as Shawn Levy said.

Remember, the final is 2 hours and half an hour long. That's plenty of time for things to happen.

Also, Robin's conversation with Will on the roof.

She said she accepted herself, then she told someone and then she got with Vickie.

Sounds familiar, right?

Will accepted himself, Will told some about him (he told everyone!) and then.... We know what's next.

Mike and Eleven are still together, even though they’ve barely been seen together all season, which means they either have to break up and then Mike is just moving from relationship to relationship at the speed of light, or El will die, in which case Mike AND Will get absolutely NO time to grieve before just moving on with life, which is super unrealistic.

Also, Mike and Will have been around each other pretty often in volume two, but Mike is not actually spending half as much time with him as he did in volume one. Feels kind of like the Duffers are intentionally putting distance between them to make Byler even more surprising if it does happen, which is kind of shitty and unrealistic to Mike’s character as well.
