It’s so hard not to be with you because you used to make me so happy. You changed my life. You came around when my world was crashing down for the umpteenth time and built it back up again. I was happy. We were happy. I don’t know where I would be right now if it wasn’t for you. No one understands it. No one has ever understood it. I don’t even think I did. I just have to keep telling myself that it wasn’t the same anymore. I’m not sure when the butterflies and the sweet words turned into loud arguments and sleeping alone. I miss sitting on my front porch with you. Barely saying anything. Just sitting in the comfort of your presence was enough for me. The only time I feel like that is when we have sex.The sex isn’t enough to make it work anymore. I guess I just need more now. We just need more now. Maybe we’re different now. I’m just different now. 

I’m lucky to love someone like you and to have you love someone like me. It’s simple. It makes so much sense that it doesn’t.
