Mad eye walks into his room at grimmauld place. At first he’s sceptical at the package sitting on the bed, rapped haphazardly in brown paper, and torn in places. Recognising his apprentices messy scribble of handwriting on the outside, he decides to open it.

Inside, he finds a cup. A mug. A regular, ceramic mug. Only when he turns it round does he notice something special about it. In high black font, written on the front of it read “#1 Dad”. With a small note reading “love Tonks-constant vigilance”.

This gift makes his eyes water. He keeps it out in his kitchen, like a trophy. It becomes his most prized possession. Because, the girl he took under his wing, trained, thinks of him as a father figure! The proudest day of his life is having (insert some characters name here) over for tea, and showing it off.

After the war, Ginny is cleaning out his house, she finds it and pockets it, understanding completely why it would mean so much. She takes it home and puts it in a box labelled “Old order stuff”

A grieving George hooks up for a one night stand with Angelina the same week after the war ,accidentally getting her pregnant. They decided to try and be together to make it work. Blah blah blah

At hogwarts Roxanne is best friends with Teddy, they do everything together. Roxy is extremely feisty, and believes especially in werewolf rights (after Teddy’s father) she drafts werewolf legislation. “The lupin law” is born. When the high court refuses to put it into place, Ted and Roxy do something drastic.

Full moon they go out to the Forest of Dean. They PURPOSELY get bitten.

For the first time in forever. Werewolves have rights. They can suddenly vote. They’re no longer considered dangerous, but considered poor. Though of empithetically.

And it took a member of “the chosen one” family to get bitten, for people to take notice.

From when she was born, Dora was babysat regularly by Sirius and the marauders

She really loves spending time with them and vice versa

Sometimes even it’s just Lily and James looking after or or maybe Marlene and Dorcas are taking her to see a movie for a girls night out.

Anyways, one day that happens to be the 1st of November 1981, Andromeda is really anxious and annoying, so she decides to catch muggle transport to Goodrich’s Hollow, she can visit the potters, play with their cute baby and with any luck Sirius and Remus might be there too.

She sets off, and arrives at the house

It’s in runes, windows shattered and the roof has completely disappeared.

Being the nosy child she is, she decides to investigate

She almost screams when she sees James Potter lying stiffly on the floor.

And her heart shatters at Lily Potters limp body.

Then she sees Harry, crying quietly in his crib

She picks him up and soothes him, walking him round the house and talking to him softly

About an hour later Sirius arrives, he’s horrified, and at one point, young Dora has to stop him toppling over at seeing James. The two of them, sit together, basically mourning, while looking after baby Harry

That afternoon, Hagrid arrives to try and get Harry

Dora’s hands clamp around him and she refuses to let go, no matter how hard he tries, neither Dora, or Sirius will allow him close to Harry

With a brainwave, he promises Harry a happy home, and says that if she lets him go, Hagrid will have her over for tea every week at Hogwarts

Before Sirius can stop her she hands him over

Hagrid keeps his word, and they form a bond, he watches her grow, and join the order, but somehow he still sees the young girl who was so protective of the small baby in her arms.

When he hears the news of Teddy being born, Hagrid heads over to the Line house with flowers, the door is unlocked, and he lets himself in.

Standing in the kitchen is Tonks, cradling baby Teddy, whose hair at this point is messy and black.

For a moment he sees young Dora with Harry, so protective that if he tried to take Teddy, he’d be on the wrong side of a strong curse. Her eyes twinkle when she looks into his, with pure joy. She really hasn’t changed much. She’s still stubborn, passionate, brave and caring all in one.

Then something shifts, suddenly he sees Lily Potter, and is sure that Dora, without a second though, would sacrifice herself for her son in the blink of an eye.

After the war, he’s in charge of helping clean out their cottage so it can be sold. While cleaning the desk, he sees a letter, it reads, in messy handwriting with tear stains:

Dear Hagrid,

I know, while you are reading this, there will be every possibility that both Remus and I are dead. If this is the case, I want you to know;

Do you even dream, of sending Teddy off to live with some obnoxious relative, he has a grandmother, and a godfather for a very good reason. If you ignore this, I will most certainly haunt you, that is a promise.
