i know it is going to be a great movie and i am going to be there when it opens. oh, now this is hard question. i keep flip flopping in my mind but since you are my friend, i am bias in rooting for you.

I'll take all the biased rooting I can get. Don't worry about flip-flopping. Half the cast did the same whenever we talked about it. That's the whole fun of it, the story keeps you tugging in different directions. But I appreciate you backing my corner! What can I see you on these days?

new york? lucky you. i bet it's just the loveliest place to film at this time of year. will you have time to go ice skating at the rockefeller? i've never been at this time of the year, but that's the first thing i'd do if i did. if it didn't make sense, you wouldn't be spoken about at all, but i understand thought process. i know whoever they go for will be the best fit, but i'm just proud hearing your name was in the mix. just for the sole purpose of this whole situation, i'm going to need michael g. wilson and barbara broccoli to agree we're the best fits for the role and give us a chance. comedy gold, exactly. they'd need the camera's rolling twenty four hours a day, just to catch all the backstage madness too. three days? i'd say you're being generous, but you are probably right with that estimate. i couldn't see it being any longer, but i would try my absolute hardest not to crack. you would think growing up with two younger brothers, i would be able to take the annoyance, but maybe you just bring it to another level. i am currently between working on narnia and press for ella mccay which is out in a couple of weeks. but i'm looking to slow down for the year very soon.

New York is lovely this time of the year. I personally love the overly festive vibe of it. Ice skating at Rockefeller, though? I'd last about twelve seconds before I face-plant in front of a crowd. I'm tall so I'd reeeeally get hurt. I'm back in London but if we had met there, I'd have let you drag me onto the ice just so you could witness it firsthand. If Barbara and Michael ever did decide we're the right duo, they'd have to sign a waiver acknowledging the guaranteed behind-the-scenes havoc. I'm sure that between your silent eye rolls and my relentless attempts to get you to break character, production would need hazard pay. Your brother doesn't annoy you like I do? I guess that makes me unique, then. That's a beautiful combo. And it sounds like you've earned a breather! When you finally slow down, remind me so I don't accidentally interrupt your well-deserved peace with my next-level annoyance.

Oh, trust me, I'm still not over them killing you off. Cinematic injustice at its finest. Leta deserved better. Seven years is more than enough time to cook up something new… and I'm not opposed to trying it without wands this time. I could see us thriving in a sleek sci-fi world, something a bit cerebral, a bit dangerous. Or we lean into action and make it gritty, the kind of film where we walk away covered in dust and fake blood.

it would definitely be a good - although i guess that descriptor could easily be argued - way to be checked for things you already know are bad habits but choose to ignore that aspect of? i'm not exactly advocating for avoiding reality here but not knocking it either. the numbers probably wouldn't quite add up but i've definitely had years where i felt like i spent more time flying around than settled with two feet on the ground so i hear you on the airplane thing, i can't imagine what i'd do if i were one of those people who couldn't sleep on long flights. was all of your traveling for work or vacation or a solid mix of both? that's not a bad way to look at it, though, and if no one else knows you made the resolution i'm going to go ahead and say you didn't really fail but that's true, if something brings someone comfort i'd never turn around and say they're wrong.

I get what you mean about it being a good way to be checked for habits you already know are… well, less than ideal. Right! The last couple of years felt exactly like that, but then again at the same time I wouldn't trade it for the world. Oh, I'd be a total mess if I couldn't sleep during flights. I think it's something we have to learn to do, we have to get used to it eventually, otherwise I think I wouldn't get any sleep which is not good when you have to do a quick flight for work and need to be fully awake. It was mostly work, but I also got to manage get some downtime too and I went on vacation every now and then. What about you? Ha! I like the way you think. I always keep my resolutions to myself anyway, but I still feel like I fail myself!

I'll have to include you in my speech already for when I win an award for the movie I'm not even in yet, thanks to you. We both know it's rarely accurate and almost always unhinged. Things are rolling in the right direction at the moment, even if half the internet seems convinced I'm in projects I've never even heard of. They're all great! But word on the street is they don't look like the part, which I guess it's fair.
