crowpunk!

only sam and paige (and possibly elizabeth) have never changed hair color. jay has been pretty consistent as a redhead since day one except for that time he was blonde and the two times he was a brunette. joelle, elizabeth, and jebediah settled as medium brown, blonde, and dark brown, respectively. melody is all over the place, but brunette and ginger are her most consistent hair colors, so i made her dark auburn and called it a day. the twins were blond but became brown-haired, so i’m just calling it hair darkening with age because fuck it. we will get to #10 later.

birth order has changed multiple times and the gaps in age are inconsistent. it’s been implied that elizabeth is the eldest and jay used to be older than paige but now it seems that the birth order is sam, paige, jay, and then the rest are clustered with no defined order. elizabeth and joelle are older than jeb and melody who are probably older than the twins and #10. sidenote, the twins aren’t even confirmed as twins, but we’re all pretty sure. joelle is most likely the oldest after jay, because otherwise her cult plotline and absence in she lies with angels don’t make much sense. (granted, there are plenty of absences in that arc that make no sense. there are five siblings left unaccounted for who were either left to die or just away that week.)

eagle-eyed readers may have noticed i keep calling the youngest one #10. that’s because #10 has no canon name (or age, or possibly gender). it’s been repeatedly mentioned that there are ten guthrie siblings, but our only clues for the last one is that a girl who seems too young to be melody and who is not cissie has appeared. (yes, i know lucinda adopted ray jr., but ray jr. wasn’t adopted until after the first mention of 10 siblings and it’s been explicitly stated that lucinda had ten biological kids.)

for what it’s worth, i did pick birth order and ages. in the above drawing is it: sam (16), paige (14), joshua (13), joelle (12), elizabeth (11), melody (10), jebediah (9), cissie & lewis (7), and #10/josie (6).
