To everybody who's STILL posting about the horrors of GO3, more than a month later, whether it's pointing out plot holes or just generally bitching about it:
Not only is this EXTREMELY valid, but also, even if you think you're just venting for your own sake, for me at least, what you're doing is actually helpful. I'm still not ok, I still open Tumblr sometimes just because I'm tensing up again and my chest hurts, and seeing those posts helps somehow. So feel free to keep it up as long as you want; to Hell with those responsible, I'll never accept that as canon, but also Idk if I'll ever really recover.
Personally, I went into the finale weary but with high hopes for a happy ending, and even though the worst possible outcome seems to have come of it, I am doing so much better than I would have for any other show. It still upsets me and I keep getting these awful pangs of melancholy for what we could have had, but I'm oddly at peace with it. Because for me, it's not over and I'm not alone. It's a little freeing in a way, because the ending was so catagorically wrong that it can be fully disregarded. Crowley and Aziriphale and all of the characters in this story are now and will always be in the hands of the most incredible, talented, kind, funny, and passionate group of bastards I'm so delighted to have come across in this fandom. I know that they will keep making art, and writing, and questioning and coming up with theories and keeping the story going and alive and coming together here and elsewhere to gush over something that made them happy. And that made them cry.
Thank you so much to everyone on here, sharing and creating and experiencing all of this together and helping each other through it. We could have had a wonderful ending that was written and filmed just like the first two seasons of the show, and its ok to grieve that.
But also, in the spirit of season one...
This isn't our ending. And it never was!
