People literally got bullied off the site for having lore that was 100% canon less than a week ago. It was absolutely insane.

[TACHYON PROTOCOL]

I finally got around to writing lore for one of my dragons. Here's the problem about lore, though, it's sort of boring to read when there's a lot of it… So instead, I made a short comic about this guy to introduce him to you.

The TL;DR is that Tachyon believes he comes from a timeline where a massive Emperor named the Luminous Heir brought cataclysmic damage to the world. He is now attempting to kill the Imperials he believes made up that Emperor in order to prevent this from happening again. Functionally, we cannot be sure if this is real or not. It's actually entirely possible that Tachy hallucinated the entire thing. It's also possible that he's the one who caused the Emperor to form in the first place (so many dead Imperials, hello?) He does not attempt to kill all Imperials, only the ones he believes were part of that larger Emperor at the beginning. Tachy only remembers their names, not what they look like, so as you can imagine this is troublesome if an Imperial is named something extremely common. He's been wandering around Sorneith looking for these dragons.

I made this build about a month ago, but I don't think I've properly introduced frblr to THE CLOBBER.

Guide Forum and discussion thread go into more detail.

This runs Discipline for the extra breath, Regenerate for general grinding, and Contuse so extra turns can be used to help your fighters skip a turn of Scratch.

For Bosses:

Put the Clobber at the end of your team.

For starting on bosses, have a fighter Haste the Clobber once. The Clobber should Meditate, Meditate, Clobber the boss.

Scratch with your fighters.

Clobber and Meditate between boss turns. Fighters Scratch and build up breath. Repeat.

For regular grinding:

Have two fighters Scratch and Elim two enemies. Clobber will stun the third.

The Clobber has an extra turn to stun 4-pack mobs. You can use that extra turn to heal off unlucky dodges, build breath back up, or whatever else. You will not have a problem in the Portal or Workshop ever again.

If you have extra breath or turns, use the Clobber to Contuse the remaining enemy twice. Two Contuses from the Clobber is equivalent to a Scratch from a 133, allowing the next dragon in the turn order to Eliminate the enemy immediately.

Testimonials

After required QCK, a Clobber dragon can only put 67 points toward another stat. The two augment stones that add 5 QCK each are Berserker, which costs on average 19g because Eliminate meta uses it, vs Scholar, which costs 1g or less. We add these Augment stones because we need the QCK, but three of either augment stone allows either STR or INT to reach 82 as well.

The threshold of damage for Clobber to be worth using for damage instead of a simple stun is equivalent to a 133 Scratch (so your fighters can save a turn). You can't hit that with 82 STR - you're simply never going to deal enough damage with Clobber to make a difference. Even on a STR 133 dragon, Clobber only does damage comparable or less than a single 133 Scratch, and it doesn't generate breath. A maxed 82 STR on a Clobber will still do VERY little damage. It will also cost you roughly 20x more than a maxed INT stat, since you need to buy Berserkers instead of Scholars!

This is even before you take into account that the Clobber runs Meditate for breath, which will reduce the damage of your physical attacks by 75%.

So when you use the Clobber, it is far more valuable to give it a high INT stat so it can run Contuse or Regenerate. This gives it a ton of utility outside of simply stunlocking bosses. It even allows you to level fodder or level the Clobber itself with two 133 STR fighters, since two 82 INT Contuses will allow a fighter to Eliminate a mob directly instead of having to Scratch it again first.
