Hi! This question really surprised me as I was in no way “hyped” up when I did write. Like…. I generally felt like no one was reading except for those special few that were cheering me on (which I APPRECIATE so much, even still) and I think that speaks mostly to the fandom. Like, I guess expecting updates and then surprised/disappointed when they stop writing all together? I am not surprised at all to hear that niall fic writers are just done writing. In my time I spit out a lot of stories in a short amount of time and it was hard not getting any feedback but people messaging me if I didn’t meet my “deadline”

I have never written for the attention or praise. Let me be clear on that. All of my stories reflect some kind of stage of my life and it was a form of therapy and survival to get through the hard things. It just made me happy that my growth was enjoyed by others as well.

My purpose in life was never to write fic. There are things that I’m passionate about and love to do and talk about that have nothing to do with Niall or writing fic. I’m a full time college student and I just got my DREAM job. Im going to be an infant lead teacher where I’m going to watch my babies grow over a year and develop relationships with them and their families. On top of all of that I’m taking 5 college classes and maintaining my health and wellness. That’s my priority and my passion. I’m not in a place that I need to sort through my emotional turmoil with people on the internet but I’m grateful that I had that outlet.

With that being said, every fic writer out there has their own passions and loves of life that have nothing to do with Wattpad or Tumblr. I understand your frustration with the ‘lack’ of content and I felt similarly until I realized that everyone is at a different stage of their life than they were when they went on hiatus.

I obviously don’t mean any of this in a mean or nasty way but I’ve seen this message sent to other accounts and we all have different answers as to what’s been going on. This is just my personal experience and if there’s anything I want you to take away from this it’s to just tell your favorite fic writer that you liked their works. Like. Just let them know you appreciate them writing and putting in the time that it takes to pull a story together.
