Getting There...
This has been a real year of discovery for me. I’ve rediscovered some creative passions, I’ve met some excellent people and I now understand that love, family and friendship will always hold more value than money itself. As the end of the year draws nearer, I begin to reflect and the year that was and prepare for the life that will be. It took me a full year to truly understand what “life” is and what “my life” can be. Get ready 2016, it’s going to be a good one!

Can't really explain it, but today was just different. When I opened my eyes this morning, it was like my spirit had awakened from years of slumber. My big life change brought many hardships, but it was a small price to pay to regain my soul. #toronto #music #inspiration #newlife
The 100 Meter Dash To Perfection
This whole time I've been chasing perfection and losing the race badly. It was disheartening putting my head down and running so fast, only to look up and realize that so many around me were so much further ahead, and those behind me were soon to catch up. I was letting down everyone in the stadium that was watching me.
Then finally it dawned on me that this isn't a 100 meter dash at all... It's a marathon-My marathon, my stadium, my rules, and there's no one on this track but me. All those that I thought were ahead of me in this race were really on another track (most of them running a race that I didn't even want to be apart of). I also realized that in my stadium, I have full say in who stays in to watch first hand, and who can watch me on TV from a distance. Only an audience that would cheer me on and give me energy would be granted entrance. If those watching me on TV had anything negative to say, it wouldn't matter to me anyways, because I wouldn't be able to hear them. I accept that the perfection finish line will always be somewhat out of reach, but at least I know now that if I adjust my speed, I can get pretty damn close (and will always have a good sprint left inside of me).
To sum it all up...
1. I will no longer compare myself to others 2. Look ahead, cause looking back wastes energy 3. Those that can't be a positive influence in my life- won't be in it 4. Pace myself. This marathon will last my entire life so I must stay disciplined and committed to the cause 5. Though the finish line will always be somewhat out of reach, it doesn't mean I shouldn't try to cross it... And on second thought... who says that I can't?
