My final piece for this module, Penguin Parade! Here you can see the colour tests I did before deciding on the top one. I thought the green one was a bit too much, kind of hurt my eyes, and the purple one just looked off.

Today I did my final presentation, which I think went rather well. The feedback I got was that they liked how I showed my progress throughout the project and the fact that I changed the project the way I did. And I agree the new project is much better, and I am so happy I changed it. They also asked what my process is in regards to how I make the illustrations, something I did not quite have an answer to, so I will bring that up in the essay and try and answering it there. Finally I was asked where I see myself going from here, which is mentioned in my essay; I want to be a Graphic Designer and Illustrator and so the work I have done for this module has helped me getting closer to that goal. I will carry on experimenting with my style and try to get better of course.

Make another illustration for the final pieces. Experimented with having it in one image or two and also did a few colour tests before deciding on the green one, in one piece.

Using the simplified cat illustration I made a while back I created this colourful seamless pattern as an experiment in making seamless patterns. I though it could be used on towels, duvet covers and such for children. 

Zebra love! My second collection of animals for the final pieces.

A collection of giraffe illustrations. They are meant to be viewed side by side, biggest to the left. These are defiantly my favorites so far. Will make at least one more collection like this one for the final pieces.

I discarded the ‘waterfall’ and ended up with these, more simplistic illustrations. I made four different color variations, creating a set. I imagine them being printed on pillows or bags.

I made a tiger, which I am rather fond of. I experimented with a watercolor waterfall in these two but am unsure about it. The one with a white background looks okay, but the inverted one makes the area around the tigers mouth look funny I think. 

SpaceCow - I am very fond of this piece! I have been pretty bad at making abstract things, so I thought I’d try and add that to the simplicity, to make it more interesting and eye catching. And I do think I succeeded with that.

However David did have another good way of formulating it, and so I will ask him to repeat it.

Got some feedback on the infographics: there was too many shades of red, which I fixed by having the same shade of red for the ‘badges’ and the square. The text over the elephants foot was very difficult to read so I simple moved the text.

After feedback telling me that the text on the ‘badges’ where difficult to read I changed the font for them. I also made the help bit a bit more compact.

Overall they didn’t find it interesting... which is a problem. They asked for more interesting facts, but after having read every website I can find which talks about them, there just isn’t many more facts than these... I will have to re-consider the whole thing, trying to make it more interesting. Possibly the reasons for endangerment could be the answer, as I do think those might be the most important and interesting facts about them in regard to their endangerment status.
