I talked about this a bit with House of Leaves. Home is supposed to be a universal constant - sanctuary, retreat. When the laws of the universe themselves cant be trusted, when the unshakeable faith that your home cannot be bigger on the inside than it is on the outside proves false - how can you be safe at home? How can you hold your sanctuary when you can no longer understand it?

This liminal space that half-remembers things, like a xerox of a xerox of a xerox, shows you that: space, gravity, geometry can be defied. Isn't that similar to defying the safety of your home? Isn't that a violation of your sanctuary? Your memories?
