When Dick has to return to Bludhaven after visiting for a while? Bruce’s usually warm, butterscotch scent becomes stale and heavy, dripping with heartbreak at the mere concept of his oldest pup leaving the nest again.

Jason faces the brunt of this involuntary honesty. Each time their mama turns to gaze upon his resurrected son, his scent erupts in overwhelming waves of love and awe, so potent that it’s nearly suffocating. (Jason was always thankful that his helmet filtered scents, just for this reason.)

Tim takes full advantage of their mama’s weakness by deliberately reporting to him about each successful case he cracks. There’s nothing, after all, that settles him quite like the way his mama’s scent does, when it’s filled with nothing but pride. 

Cass, on the other hand, would never dare to exploit their mama’s vulnerability. Instead, she opts to wrap her arms around him as often as she possibly can, scenting him with pure, unadulterated love. And when he returns the favour by drenching her in love and adoration? She can’t help but devolve into content purrs, and truthfully, neither can he.

Duke tries, so, so very hard to avoid taking advantage of it. He really does. But… when an Omega is as smothering as their mama is, there’s no avoiding the cloud of sticky-sweet affection that wells up around him, growing in intensity and warmth with each passing day, until he’s sure the scent has melded entirely with his own.

Anything that gets me clean Lowkey, tho I do have a preference to earthy and flowery scents, my house has been consistent with Aloe Vera scented shampoo so that's what I'm using

I sleep with the lights off based on pure habit, and I don't close my doors cuz the AC gets too cold at night and I don't wanna get sick, even if my nightmares always start cuz my door is open lmao

lights on or off: i sleep with big lights off and prefer a lamp on or leave a light on in the hallway this is partly bc I've always slept like this for as long as I can remember, and partly bc I don't want to wake up to complete darkness, it makes me panic

I think they're kinda unlabeled, since they wouldn't be that interested in finding the explanation for how they feel, but if I had to put it like that...

Both of them are somewhere on the ace spectrum, just in different ways. For KDJ, it's that he's spent his whole life disconnected from people in a way that feels very aroace-coded to me as a fellow introverted aroace. He's never really been interested in anyone until YJH. And even then, it's not a typical attraction and more about devotion and worship and understanding rather than kissing or hand holding and dramatic iloveyou-s. He's very YJH-sexual in the sense that YJH is the exception to everything about himself. In my eyes KDJ radiates major aroace bi vibes.

For YJH, I lean toward demisexual pan I think. He's never been driven by attraction in a typical way either, because he forms attachments slooowly and based on who someone is, not what they look like.

now, what's happening RIGHT NOW:

in may the question paper for NEET leaked. that's the national medical entrance exam. over 2.2 million students took it. cancelled. years of studying, families' savings poured into coaching, gone overnight because someone sold the paper. students died by suicide after. these were kids who wanted to be doctors.

and out of that came a protest movement. a gen z group called the cockroach janta party, started by a 30 year old named abhijeet dipke, got 22 million instagram followers within DAYS. they've been doing a sit-in at jantar mantar in delhi demanding education minister dharmendra pradhan resign.

and then there's sonam wangchuk. if you've watched 3 idiots, he's the real engineer the character was based on. built solar schools in ladakh. invented ice stupas so himalayan villages have water. spent his whole life on education. he's 59 and he's been on hunger strike for 17+ days now. reporters went to see him this week and he was too weak to talk. and the troll armies are calling him "anti national" and "foreign funded". a man starving himself for other people's children. that's the thing here, anyone who asks a question is suddenly a traitor.

it's not one incident, it's everywhere you look:

• infrastructure worth thousands of crores failing within months of the ribbon cutting. tunnels collapsing in regions where heavy rain is a guarantee, not a surprise.

• youth unemployment near 10% for ages 15 to 29, 13.6% in cities. in a country of 1.42 billion where more than half the population is young.

• only about the top 3% of indians earn above 10 lakh a year. meanwhile billionaire wealth keeps ballooning and the headlines celebrate it.

• manipur burned for over two years. an ethnic conflict, tens of thousands displaced, and the prime minister barely said the word manipur while it happened.

• journalists raided. critics' houses bulldozed. activists sitting in jail for years without trial under laws like UAPA. our press freedom ranking has cratered.

• even the petrol is a fight now, ethanol blending pushed through while drivers complain about their engines and get no straight answers.

and through all of it, the PM, who came to power on religious polarisation (americans, sound familiar?), travels abroad for photo ops and has not held one single open press conference in over a decade. not one.

what i'm asking:

if you're not indian: share this. our media mostly won't cover any of it because the big outlets are owned by the same billionaires the government serves. the only reason wangchuk's fast is getting any coverage is people refusing to look away.

if you ARE indian: speak up even if you're comfortable. especially if you're comfortable. join the protests. add to this, correct me, translate it. staying quiet is a choice when nothing in this post touches your life.

india is not "dirty". india was robbed, and it's being robbed again, from the inside this time. but it's also the country where a 59 year old will starve for strangers' kids and 22 million young people will rally behind a party literally named after cockroaches, because cockroaches survive everything.

we can still save her. but only loudly.

Except when Jason is finally out of sight, Bruce is curling up on the floor in tears, ugly sobbing.

Jason made the mistake of wondering out loud "Maybe Bruce was playing the long game of getting rid of me..."

And Tim just... sends a 20 minute video of Bruce crying while hugging Tim because he's the closest of his children to him at the time
