A relationship is a tricky thing – offering too much help and support may be interpreted as being intrusive or even nosy, whereas leaving a partner to their own devices and offering little to no aid might be misconstrued as being apathetic or distant. Like many aspects of all relationships, the level and degree of support one must offer depends on the personality of their partner. That being said, being supportive is one of the most valuable ways to contribute to a relationship. A supportive partner is someone who not only cares about their partner, but also the relationship as a whole. Even someone who seemingly has everything they could ever want needs the benefit of their partner’s outside perspective, someone who knows what they truly want and need.
