HOW SWEET IT IS!

Candy went to her (hopefully) new home with Pat and her partner. Candy’s not going far, just across Santa Rosa. She’ll be the only cat/animal in her new environment, so she’ll get all of the love and attention she deserves.

WHITE CAT WEDNESDAY!

Violet is 2 years 6 months-old and sponsored by Alex Huie. SNAP Cats rescued Violet from San Bernardino, CA. Violet was found in a small colony of stray cats in San Bernardino covered in mange. She was taken to a local rescue called PawLove.org, where Kimberly treated Violet for mange, got her spayed and up to date on vaccines, and that’s when they learned Violet is FIV+. Kimberly’s organization doesn’t normally adopt out cats (they help where we can with the homeless animal population and those that need them), so she reached out to us.

We think Violet will thrive in a quieter environment with fewer kitties. Right now she’s a bit skittish, but once she gets to knows you she loves pets and attention. So we’d like to find a new home for Violet ASAP.

TWO FOR TUESDAY!

Isa and Sage are 3 years 4 months-old and sponsored by Stefanie Kraus. SNAP Cats rescued Isa and Sage from Fresno, CA. These siblings are very sweet, affectionate kitties. They love attention, and will follow you around meowing for pets and rubs. Their ataxia is mild+. Their back ends sway side-to-side a bit when they walk/run. But Isa and Sage don’t fall or need any kind of assistance to get where they’re going, including atop cat tress, shelves and counters. Isa and Sage will make a wonderful addition to anyone looking for extremely affectionate, loving kitties!

Although we’d love to see Isa and Sage adopted together, they’re not bonded. So they can be adopted separately. But please adopt them together!

BLACK CAT FRIDAY!

This is Cinder. He’s about 12 years-old and blind. Cinder was found as a stray in an apartment complex parking lot in Orange County (CA). He was severely underweight and dehydrated. Cinder was taken to the local shelter. He was frightened and physically uncomfortable, so he was defensive. Because of Cinder’s medical condition and demeanor, the shelter deemed Cinder rescue only. Our Orange County rescue partners emailed us…

And the rest is history.

Noel, who fostered Celeste for us, is fostering Cinder until tomorrow, when Pilot Thomas and his wife will fly Cinder up from Orange County.

Big thanks to our Orange County “village” for getting Cinder out of the shelter. And a huge thanks to Michelle, with Pilots N Paws, for arranging the flight to get Cinder to SNAP Cats!

For those who don’t know what The 60% Club is, FeLV+ adult cats have a 60% chance of shedding the virus (FeLV) naturally. If our FeLV+ adults stay healthy and show no signs of disease, we’ll test them every 6 months to see if they’ve shed the virus. Well, Candy tested negative for FeLV! Which is fantastic because Candy is one of the sweetest (thus, her name), most affectionate cats here! She gets along great with others here, uses the box 100% of the time, and will make a wonderful addition to any family.

TWO FOR TUESDAY! Stormy (left) and Thunder are 4-1/2 months-old. Stormy is sponsored by Sheila Reilly; Thunder is sponsored by Jennifer Mersich. SNAP Cats rescued Stormy and Thunder from Fresno, CA. Stormy and Thunder have made themselves right at home! Both kittens are extremely playful; very loving; and everything you’d want in a pair of bonded kittens. Both have moderate-to-severe cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) but continue to get stronger and more steady every day. Stormy & Thunder use the litterbox like champs, and get along great with other cats.
