IN A FLASH

It’s been a while, and I’m the worst roleplayer ever, bust as of today, I’ll be moving back to my old blog since I’ve finally remembered the acct info. If anyone here is still interested in interacting with my Wally, you can find me here!

Dick’s first instinct was to try to pull his hand away, to release himself from the sudden grasp. In those first, waking moments, he didn’t know what was happening, what the object covering his nose and mouth was, or who was trying to restrict him. He didn’t make it that far, though. Dick’s mind was sluggish and hazy, but he recognized Wally leaning over him in an instant. 

He was surprised to see Wally here, to be honest. It took a while for the memories to trickle back, the fact that he’d been the one to call his husband finally resurfacing. Dick took a mental inventory; oxygen mask from smoke inhalation most likely if his aching lungs and the taste of ash in his mouth was anything to go by, his leg was definitely at least fractured and in a cast, and his ribs had been tapped, probably a few cracked. Not the best shape, but he’d certainly had worse. 

Staring up at Wally, Dick took in the dark circles under his eyes and generally disheveled appearance, soot marks still smeared over his skin and suit. “Wal-” Dick couldn’t get more than a syllable out before attempting to speak sent him into a violent coughing fit. He held tight onto his husband’s hand as he tried to sit upright to breathe easier - but the movement caused his ribs to burn, and in turn only made him cough more.

“Hold on, babe, I’ll get you some water,” he replied quickly, speeding out of the room, and returning in less than a millisecond with a glass of room temperature water, equipped with a bendy straw. He placed the glass down for a moment to grab the oxygen mask, instantly going against his own rules. But Wally could only imagine how parched Dick was, and the coughing didn’t make it any better. 

“Careful,” he mumbled lowly, picking up the glass and holding the straw to Dick’s lips. 

An abundance of snacks fit for an army littered the coffee table as Wally jumped over the back of the couch, plopping down on the empty seat next to his cousin– something Dick would usually scold him for, but, thankfully the other was out on patrol.

Due to an unlucky draw on Bart’s end, the two were settling down for a night of nothing but Wally’s favorite Horror movies, and he was fully prepared to have some good blackmail material before the night was over. 

               “Okay, I’ll play. Let’s see how long you can keep it up—” she leans back against her chair, chin resting on top of her hands, “I’m not, and I don’t see why you’d need to know because it’s fairly obvious  that I’m your mentor not someone you should be speculating about. Any other questions?”
