Chrissy Reid has always been a passionate kid, and she grew up close to her family. Her parents, Ryan and Belinda, were respected people in Lockwood Springs who worked within the local council before retiring.
Chrissy was given the nickname Cricket when she was at school and it stuck, she barely responds to her actual name now.
Growing up, Cricket always gravitated to people who caused trouble even if she managed to stay out of it herself. She stood up for social injustices a lot, and was on the debate team happily telling people why they were wrong.
After graduating high school, she followed in her parents footsteps and studied political science at college. Here she learned a lot about herself and came into her own. She realized she was a head-strong young woman sometimes the world didn't know what to do with that personality.
She returned to Lockwood Spings with her degree and started working for Lockwood Times writing  articles reporting on the local happenings in politics. Cricket did have aspirations to further her career in politics but life had other plans. She also got a little too close to unearthing a conspiracy and was paid a decent amount of money to keep it quiet. She doesn't know how accurate her findings were since the pay off was done anonymously after she received threats.
She began dating Spencer Jones and they had an on and off again relationship. It felt like she was constantly trying to move him onto a better path, or for him to take life a bit more seriously, but at the same time she loved him deeply. He proposed to her and Cricket had no issue telling him no, because he had plenty of growing up to do.
Cricket's dreams of furthering her career into politics was blocked at every opportunity. She couldn't get past low level or administrative roles and she suspects somebody higher up within the local council had something to do with it, due to her earlier articles.
Eventually, this became the least of her worries after she discovered she was pregnant. With twins. This made her and Spencer try to "settle down" properly. She said no to his second proposal, because she was terrified he wouldn't be able to be reliable.
It hasn't been an easy two years, especially now Sawyer and Cooper have entered their terrible twos. Spencer and Cricket live in their own home that's nestled in the land of Blue River Ranch  And she's also wondering why he hasn't proposed to her again, when she's definitely more willing to say yes this time around.
