Sorry, I took so long to answer this, but hey, better to post it now, since it’s his birthday…
Happy Birthday Tatsuo~ ww
Born 11 November 1983, currently under I’m Enterprise.
An only child, his name was chosen by his folks to mean as “always among friends”.
Though he was almost named 「浅太郎」”Asatarou”.
His name, spelled as 「達央」is most commonly read as “Tatsuo”. As such, people almost always mistake it as such, and it has become one of his nickames.
Tatchu (Hirakawa Daisuke loves calling him that)
He’s trained in calligraphy.
Though he’s got the reputation of being a a great singer and actor, he is considered as a 「残念なイケメン」”zannen na ikemen” (handsome but disappointing guy)
And because he’s good looking, he always gets called “Junon Boy” by the other seiyuus.
Speaking of him being good looking, he was once offered to be a model while walking in the streets of Harajuku.
He first wanted to become a seiyuu when he was in his second year of middle school.
He first learned of seiyuus while browsing newspapers and magazines, as time went by, he also became interested in anime, that he decided to be a seiyuu.
Though his parents disapproved of him becoming a seiyuu, that it even escalated to a fight with them, he dropped out of high school to pursue being a one and enrolled into the Japan Narration Institute, where he ended up being in the same class as seiyuu Maeno Tomoaki.
He’s well known to crack very dirty jokes, resulting to him always getting bleeped out of radio shows.
Though known for his dirty jokes in radio shows, he also gives serious advice whenever needed, especially in his 鈴木達央ラジオTIME show.
Though also known for his poison tongue, he apologizes properly and immediately to people he felt he had wronged.
Friends say he’s really a good guy, only with a poison tongue.
To get into character, he’s known to read / listen to anything connected to the works, be it manga or previous BLCDs under the title he is currently working on.
When Tatsuo was starting out as a seiyuu, Toriumi Kousuke would always treat him to food ‘cos he thought Tatsuo was interesting and tried to fatten him up, but no matter how much he ate, Tatsuo never really gained weight back then.
Because their birthdays are close to each other’s, him and Fukuyama Jun used to shop together and then buy each other the same accesory, though in different colors.
Once, when he was drunk, Hoshi Soichirou cornered Tattsun, pinned him down and tried to take Tattsun’s clothes off, and shouted “I love Tatsu!”
Ono Yuuki calls him “Aniki”
Him and Hatano Wataru sometimes hang out and stay over each other’s places.
According to Morikawa Toshiyuki, Tattsun is one of the guys who always gets drunk first in a drinking party.
In a drinking party after the first Bakumatsu Rock mini event, Taniyama Kishou said that Tattsun got so drunk, that he had to be escorted home by Ono Kensho, who, unfortunately was also drunk. Kiiyan said the look on the taxi driver’s face when they got inside the taxi was pitiful.
He’s known to bully his senpai in I’m Enterprise, Shimono Hiro, a lot. Though to be fair, almost everybody loves bullying Shimono.
According to Shimono, Tattsun is the number one guy who proliferates the rumor that Shimazaki Nobunaga and Matsuoka Yoshitsugu are dating. ww
When the Free! hype started, other seiyuus would buy Makoto merchandise and have Tattsun sign it for them, just to tease him. He used to complain about it in the Free! radio show.
During the first season of Free!, he would frequently treat Shimazaki out to dinner/lunch every after recording sessions.
Quite obviously, Shimazaki is very much besotted to his senpai Tattsun, that he always talks about him, even in other radio shows and magazine interviews. And then people would tell Tattsun that Zakki is always talking about him, which sends Tattsun complaining to Zakki. ww
A fan also once sent a postcard, with Tattsun on it to Zakki. He had Tattsun sign (doodle) on it, and he said that he’ll treasure that postcard forever, and will display it in his apartment. ww
Speaking of apartments, Tattsun was almost kicked out of his apartment because the neighbors were complaining that he was “noisy”. He said it was because he was making/mixing music for OLDCODEX. (Zakki offered to let Tattsun stay in his place if ever he gets kicked out ww}
In the Kuroshitsuji Red Valentine event, he ended up getting harassed inside the elevator, with Fukuyama Jun and Yusa Kouji, among others, inserting their hands inside his cardigan and touching his nipples ww
