If there was one thing Merlin needed it was more dragons. Like if in the final battle he pulled up on the red dragon that was in a lot of myths. The cgi budget would've broke but it would've been so cool.

Merlin prompt- so every time-travel fix-it fic I've read, has had Merlin go back in time and kind of possess himself, but imagine if that Merlin was still there, but now there's Merlin from the future. (Future Merlin doesn't tell him bc he wants himself to get to be with Arthur in at least one timeline, and wants to live vicariously through them.) Insert past Merlin being extremely confused on what's happening when literally every enemy in front of him starts disappearing or having major bad luck. (Swords flying out of their hands, arrows missing, etc.) So he is wondering if his magic is just doing magic without him telling it to, so he's having an existential crisis.

When you're watching Merlin, and Morgana finally takes over. Like I was waiting for my homegirl to stop smirking so goddamn much.
