Hiiiiii this is a slight tag game of sorts erm I've never done one of these before but I wanna ask some ''unusual'' questions about people's kintypes/theriotypes……
1. What do you imagine "home" looking like?
2. How does your kintype/theriotype express ecstasy?
3. What disgusts you as a result of your kintype/theriotype?
4. Where would you love to sleep as a result of your kintype/theriotype? Like what's the ideal napping spot?
5. What part of your kintype/theriotype do you miss the least?
For me erm……
1. A world between worlds, eternally dark and eternally cold with a city permeated by golden, spilling lights and an ethereal wilderness just beyond our reach; "Home" would be in this world, back with my family, back in our towering home that was simple but endlessly consoling.
2. "Oowaping" and wagging my tail. "Oowaps" sound like this!
3. Humanity. And the order of nature itself. Entropy means ending the natural ways of murder and replenishment and living free from this horrific dystopia. Can't be a villain without a good motive.
4. A grand hotel high, high up in the sky, where I can watch snow plummet on cool grass as midnight wakes the sky. Iceland would be perfect for this. Oooooooh I love you Iceland…… /autism moment
5. How gangly I was. At least in this limiting form I'm actually capable of gaining at least some sort of muscle mass. It's like my body was allergic to fitness back then.

1: it kind of depends on the day / moment for me. sometimes home is in a place like Shoreline with LTTM, sometimes its greenpath / hallownest, sometimes its woods and meadows full of tall grass and mice and rabbits or similar human-free wilderness. sometimes its The Wall surrounded by my pack or various rain world regions where i can jump and run free.
2: tail wagging, yipping, nipping things, that "laughter" like sound you hear from foxes. im not sure which kintype causes it but i often close my eyes when im happy like how bearded dragons and some other lizards will. i make hissing sounds sometimes since its the closest noise i can make to what happy rain world lizards sound like
3: not sure if this is asking what disgusts me because of my kintype [like what my kintype hates] or what disgusts me as a result of my kintype [something abt my kintype that disgusts me] im not sure what things i dislike might be from my kintypes, but i know that since discovering my eyefestation kintype whenever im nervous or uncomfortable i get very intense eye phantom limbs across my face and head and i can feel them moving around inside of me which is AWFUL i do NOT recommend. combined with cramps once was SUCH an awful experience
4: in a pile with my yellow lizard pack, in a den underground, somewhere enclosed and safe, somewhere in shoreline
5: i dont miss guarding hallownest or my encounters with that little ghost, i dont miss any of the experiments done to eyefestation, and i dont miss most of rivulet's journey in his campaign like the rot. im not sure what else tbh

i think so many parts of my therianthropy and my otherkin identity are beautiful and amazing and i love them but the fact im polykin just. isnt one
sometimes it is. usually its not.
if i have more than 3 fucking types im faking, im lying, im probably some kind of hybrid.
but if i dont list all of my types, im faking, im lying, im just trying to get attention.
if i tell someone that im a fox therian, im told im just an attention seeker for being such a common pretty animal
if i tell someone im a red, arctic, and bat-eared fox as well as gargoyle gecko? im faking and im probably just a red fox.
if i tell someone about my otherkin identities- yellow / cyan lizards, rivulet, hornet, i just like them a lot !!!!! im not actually something from a game thats younger than me !!!! bc i cant be im older than it !!!! i just like them a lot :3

im scared to tell people im questioning a python kin, specifically reticulated / ball (i was originally mostly considering ball but im starting to be a bit more convinced its reticulated?) because im scared itll just be seen as "every animal i like, i decide to be"
i dont choose this. a lot of the animals i love are BECAUSE of me being them. i didnt realize my attachment and love was because i was one, i didnt even know that was a thing.
some of my favorite animals are hyenas and african wild dogs- im not either, i know im not, im very confident in that
yes, i do like pythons quite a lot, but i like ball pythons because id love to keep one someday.
i do love gargoyle geckos, but that fascination came with the discovery i was one.
i do love bat-eared foxes, which again came with the discovery that i was one.
i know its apparently "faker" behavior to have your favorite animal and your kintype be the same creature, but my favorite animals often stem FROM me being them, even if i dont know it
in all honestly im not really that interested in reticulated pythons, i think theyre very fascinating but i just love snakes in general theyre on the same level as all reptiles for me !!!!!

you dont need to know your color morph. you dont need to know if youre a black fox, cross fox, champagne fox, ect because they are all just reds. you can just say red fox. or just fox. its ok !!!!!
you dont need to know if youre a blue or green or black or gold dragon. you dont need to what exact patterns or colors you have as a hyena or african wild dog or wolf or anything
(i dont mean this in a negative way, i mean this in a positive way- you dont need to know these things to be a therian !!)
for context i see posts fairly often of people very stressed out abt finding their colors / patterns / morphs !!!!! not that its bad to know your morph, it just shouldnt be a cause for stress :3
very true! i wanted to figure out my color morph (pearl fox) mostly bc researching the different colors was fun, and bc not knowing was mildly itchy to my brain, if that makes sense. but it’s definitely not something you Need to know to be valid
i get that tbh,,, like im somewhat confident in my color morph just being a standard red, maybe a bit on the paler / more tan side, but im not really sure i just know its red fox
i do notice a lot of like rarer morphs in therianthropy (not saying that as a bad thing at all <3) and i think sometimes people get too concerned about their morph that they end up guessing incorrectly due to being drawn to a certain type- i thought i was a marble for a LONG time until i realized that i was just a standard arctic, not marbled
it is INCREDIBLY fun to research morphs and i highly recommend it to both therians and non-therians, its just a ton of fun all around to see how unique and beautiful these animals can be !!! (foxes and others)
i had a great time compiling a little list once abt different morphs and i didnt even cover all of them (sadly, most are from fur farms, but several are naturally occuring in the wild and all are beautiful)
speaking of the prevalent rare color/pattern types — i have a theory that it isn’t always critters trying to be Unique(tm), like i’ve seen some suggest. continuing with the example of fox therians: for spiritual fox therians who have past lives, it’s possible that those with rarer color morphs had a past self/selves who were bred in a fur farm. (at least, that’s what my theory would be if i were a rarer morph and a spiritual therian.) for psychological fox therians, it’s likely just the morph their brain latched on to, for whatever reason.
i’m a psychological therian myself, and i don’t know why a pearl fox’s coloring feels most like me (or why i have light green eyes when that’s not the color of my human eyes). i actually like the look of some other color morphs better. for example, cinnamon foxes have SUPER pretty fur. if i could choose based solely on aesthetics, i’d probably choose a cinnamon fox. but looking at pearl foxes give me a euphoric rush of “look!! it’s me!!” that doesn’t happen when i look at cinnamon foxes.
that said, if someone can’t figure out what color or pattern they are, i totally understand why they would go for the one that they think looks the most aesthetically pleasing. nothing wrong with that. if they happen to figure out they’re a different morph, like you did (and me, as i guessed that i was a silver fox before i knew pearls existed), then congrats! new fact about self unlocked!

I don't think there's anything wrong with believing yourself to be one more and then realizing it's wrong, sometimes people are drawn to the pretty ones without realizing that they're just. Pretty (some people very much are said morphs, like you said !!!)
Its certainly harder when it comes to be psycological, which is why I struggled so much between arctic and marble (eventually settled on just arctic)
I have ZERO idea what gecko morph I am, I've been guessing im one of the white / paler morphs (more common I think in gargoyles, may be wrong I don't keep them) but I'm not sure tbh

it feels like my frills are very close to in game, but also kind of like how i drew them in my old dark au design? in a way?? idk its odd
also i can tell i have a long frill along my back and the top of my tail, as well as webbed toes (very weird feeling btw)

wish i could be a yellow lizard, basking in the sun's warmth under a bright sky, my friends, my family, my packmates surrounding me, loved and loving, happy and content with a simple, calm life.
wish i could be a cyan lizard, excitable, destructive, pure joy. free to leap, to run, to bite, to walk, to fly at the open, clear skies, reaching heights unknown to other lizards, the sun and stars reaching out to me as i reach out to them.
wish i could be that red fox kit i was. i wish i was more careful. i wish i had stayed closer. i wish i was still there, playing in the tall grasses with my littermates, climbing over my mother as she hunts, watching, learning, excited to simply be.
wish i could be a bat-eared fox. comfortable in the sand and grass, playful and joyful, eating bugs, digging my den, playing and rolling in the dirt.
wish i could be an arctic fox, my muzzle to the minds, the bitter chill unable to reach through my thick fur. scavenging, watching, listening.
wish i could be a gargoyle gecko, hiding safely away in the dark. gone if i need to be. stalking bugs, crawling about, exploring.

frill shifts are very odd bc theyre kind of uncomfortable usually and im not sure why, maybe its just bc im not in water? idk
but they appear right in front of my actual ears, kind of the upper part of my cheeks
so wearing headphones is SO UNCOMFORTABLE GRAAAHHH it feels like theyre being flattened but i cant do anything abt it !!!!!!!!

therian tip? kinda? if possible, learning to move your ears is SO nice if you can do it i learned to do it when i was like 14
and yeah. it slaps
unsure how you teach yourself? youre not actually moving the ears themselves, its basically your whole scalp! i just sorta practiced moving above my eyebrows, which i dont know how i learned to do. but yeah my human ears actually instinctively move like animal ones
