listen. listen. if you had trauma relating to say, a snake, and you became close friends with someone, how would you feel if they intentionally brought a snake and tried to force you to interact with it and hold it and touch it and made you look at it?

youd feel disrespected, disgusted, and betrayed by someone who you thought was your friend, a close friend at that, who ignored your very clear trigger / boundary. would you tell someone in that situation to never go outside again?

no you fucking wouldnt. why is it different for when youre online?

especially if this was a repeated event. like if they do that and you repeat your trigger and boundary to them, that you have trauma relating to snakes and they are a very bad trigger for you and that trauma, and then they do it again? what if they did it again? and again? regardless of how often they ask or you tell them, they always do it again? bringing you snake after snake and trying to force you to touch it, hold it, face it, forcing you to interact with it and see it when it is incredibly easy to simply not bring them the snake, or perhaps warn them that you have a snake with you that day or at that moment in time so they dont have to see it.

would you tell them to never go outside? and that they shouldnt be making everything about them? no. you. fucking. wouldnt.

respect people online. expecting your friends to respect your boundaries and your triggers and your traumas is basic fucking human decency and if you think friends shouldnt have to do that, maybe you should reevaluate your friends and what you and them are doing to this world.

it is so, so incredibly unfair to people who have done nothing wrong and have very kindly and respectfully stated multiple times they have these triggers and still have to constantly deal with the fear of people attacking them for it, and of having to see it being sent directly to them with zero warning at all. its cruel and its unfair and its simply disgusting.

i think so many parts of my therianthropy and my otherkin identity are beautiful and amazing and i love them but the fact im polykin just. isnt one

if i tell someone about my otherkin identities- yellow / cyan lizards, rivulet, hornet, i just like them a lot !!!!! im not actually something from a game thats younger than me !!!! bc i cant be im older than it !!!! i just like them a lot :3

im scared to tell people im questioning a python kin, specifically reticulated / ball (i was originally mostly considering ball but im starting to be a bit more convinced its reticulated?) because im scared itll just be seen as "every animal i like, i decide to be"

i dont choose this. a lot of the animals i love are BECAUSE of me being them. i didnt realize my attachment and love was because i was one, i didnt even know that was a thing.

some of my favorite animals are hyenas and african wild dogs- im not either, i know im not, im very confident in that

yes, i do like pythons quite a lot, but i like ball pythons because id love to keep one someday.

i do love gargoyle geckos, but that fascination came with the discovery i was one.

i do love bat-eared foxes, which again came with the discovery that i was one.

i know its apparently "faker" behavior to have your favorite animal and your kintype be the same creature, but my favorite animals often stem FROM me being them, even if i dont know it

seeing people make posts about killing your type or abt how much they dislike your type.

yellow lizards? holy fucking shit yellow lizards. do you know how often i see posts about people slaughtering multiple PACKS of yellow lizards just bc they dont like them.

cyan lizards dont get a ton of hate. im glad but im not as attached to fellow cyans since they arent pack lizards- i dont feel the same attachment to them.

never thought it would happen but yesterday in class a couple girls overheard me say i was aroace and started asking me weird fucking questions.

they asked me if i ever got horny or if i ever watched. you know. and if i had kinks.

and wouldn't leave me the fuck alone until my friends convinced them to back the fuck off because i was very clearly beyond uncomfortable

I am a fucking minor. They are all either my age or older. You have no fucking business to be asking strangers those kind of questions let alone a literal child.

That is never, ever any of your business and is absolutely never fucking okay to ask someone. You don't know me, I don't know you, and if my friends tried to ask me that stuff I would say the same thing which is "I'm not comfortable answering that and that's not okay to be asking a child"

I can answer what aroace means if you don't know what it stands for, which is just. aromantic and asexual.

But that doesn't mean you ask me gross fucking questions like that. That is incredibly fucking inappropriate to ask anybody at all, especially someone you don't know, and ESPECIALLY someone who is a FUCKING. MINOR.

What the fuck is wrong with people holy shit. The worst part is that they're in the class I'm currently in and I hear them whispering about me being weird and giggling about me and talking about how I'm probably lying or what kind of. You know. I would watch and kinks I have and shit. I'm a fucking minor what the actual fuck is wrong with you holy shit.

I can't tell anyone about this. I have no proof and my parents don't know and I don't want to tell them about me being aroace or about the girls being weird.
