Life is all that you make it. Some days will be bliss, some days will have you weak.

Everyday make sure you get up and pray. Ask the lord(or whoever you believe in) for the strength you need. You are your biggest critic but also biggest support.

It’s dark right now but there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. There’s an opening in every hole. Enjoy the darkness, make the best of it. But when it’s bright- when the sun starts to show again— dance in it! BE IN IT.

You are where you are supposed to be at this time. Nothing is unplanned, even if you do not know the plan. Keep going, don’t give up. Applaud the small victories and prepare for the big wins.

Something I’ve personally focused on this year is how much Am I investing in myself?

As women, we get lost in the static of the constant movement of life where we only seem to be the ones nurturing and taking care of everyone else but no one is taking care of us. It’s difficult being a woman, a black woman is even harder. We struggle every day to show we are worth something, to show our intelligence, talents and much more.

We lose pieces of ourselves in everyone in our life. But nurturing is in our genes, it runs through our blood. If our surroundings isn’t taken care of, we can’t operate successfully. Mama always said never cook unless the kitchen is clean!

So ask yourself, when was the last time you did something solely for you? With only the intentions of making yourself happy, when was the last time you started a new hobby or tv series? If you can’t remember the last time, it’s time to start now. It’s time to start doing things for you and you only. Start the new project or change your hair to the style you’ve been wanting! Invest in yourself and your foundation. Set and achieve goals. Expand your knowledge, take those courses, get those certifications! DO IT ALL!

You are a strong independent African American QUEEN who can do ANY AND EVERY THING you set your mind to. So sis set your mind to being a better you and ACHIEVE IT!
