Swemo Gaylorette Party Invite Design

This design launched a Taylor Swift x emo-themed “Swemo Gaylorette Party,” blending 2000s pop-punk nostalgia with queer joy and chaotic MySpace-era aesthetics. I created a bold, high-contrast invite featuring ransom note-style lettering, punky sticker accents, and iconic imagery of Taylor Swift and Patrick Stump. Animated glitter overlays completed the look — a nod to the bedazzled HTML graphics of early social media. This project shows my love for themed visual storytelling, internet-era references, and designing content that’s made to be shared.

I made this series to share clear, no-BS info about abortion in a way that feels kind and easy to understand. Each post starts with a simple “Did you know?” fact — covering everything from how long a first-trimester procedure takes, to what recovery can look like, to the reminder that all kinds of people (not just women) have abortions. I wanted the tone to feel approachable and nonjudgmental, so I used soft, pastel rainbow colors and a clean layout to keep things gentle but informative.

This six-part graphic series was created to amplify real quotes from public figures who have spoken publicly about abortion. I designed each piece with bold, accessible text and cohesive visuals to humanize the conversation around reproductive rights and draw attention to lived experiences.
